Hypocrisy according to Al Sharpton, Imus called Dick Cheney a War Criminal and had John McCain on his first show, this makes Imus a hypocrite in Al Sharpton’s words. He is coming back tomorrow night because Greta thinks there is a comparrison to Rev Wright, she thinks he has made remarks about white people. Al Sharpton states he believes Rev Wright only made remarks about the Government. There is going to be a part two. Greta is going to look up statements of Rev Wright, to discuss this issue some more tomorrow. Al Sharpton wants her to look up Imus’s comment on Dick Cheney being a war criminal, his point I guess is that by having John McCain and other Republicans on his first day back that makes him a hypocrite.
The HIV and 911 comments were directed at our Govt the GDA again is about our Govt., Rev Al, doesn’t think that Rev Wright, ever made any disparging comments about white people or jewish people?

Anyone who listens to Al Sharpton and Greta Van Susteren are what I consider doing themselves a dis-service.
Greta is truly trying to get her ratings up. And Al Sharpton is very insignificant. Especially on Race relations.
Don’t waste your precious time. You have seen what Imus has become since December 3rd, 2007. So what the heck is she talking about?
My opinion.
Greta was very anti-Imus back in April. She was very offended by his comments. So she’s coming with some credibility.

Why now is Imus coming up and Al Sharpton commenting well maybe it is for Obama’s benefit if Sharpton can compare Wright to Imus and show how terrible Imus is this will distract from the GDA comment, which is the one comment Rev Wright made that will bring Obama’s patriotism into question. Al Sharpton is taking the tact that Rev Wright was only criticizing the Government, he didn’t make any racist comments. Greta said, she was going to have to investigate further to see if this is the case. Greta isn’t going to let go of this because I believe she is a Clinton supporter. Rev Al Sharpton would love to change the subject and talk about Imus in comparrison to Rev Wright…How? Imus isn’t a Pastor in a Church. I don’t think Imus has gone negative on Obama at all. This morning he showed how one- Rev Wright was pro Obama and one- Minister? from Harlem? was anti Obama. Lou had put together the two different men speaking about Obama.
Some of that stuff was really harsh, makes me more sympathetic to Obama, this is how he gets treated for not being black enough in America? I am glad to see that the polling showed only 8% of Americans agree with this stuff. That means as a whole, we are probably reasonable people of all ethnicities. If you asked me what Americans want and I am speaking of Americans as a whole not chopped up demographics. I think Americans want to be left alone to work, raise their families, live their lives in peace, they just want to be left alone and not have the deck stacked against them …whatever ethinicity they are. Does Obama get this? From the speech he gave it sounds like he does.

A very good well thought out description regarding not only the Obama speech but the Greta/Sharpton discussion, which I am not privy to.
I heard that excerpt at the repeat portion of Imus’ show regarding Reverend Wright and the other Pastor. Truly two distinct perspectives. Will go back to do my editing of all commentary on today’s show. But I am back logged with Imus stuff since Monday.

Now on to a different vein of this discussion regarding Obama’s speech. Let me preface this with that I am not a true Obama supporter. My only feeling and desire is not to let Clinton get the nomination. Your choices maybe different so remember this. I am a McCain supporter as is Keith and many. And have always voted Republican.
There are many You Tube Videos and News footage on the internet regarding the Obama speech. But I felt it was probably his most powerful speech he has delivered in all the days of the campaign.
So I took the audio and just made a simple 37:40 Yahoo Video last night with good sound for anyone who has not listened to the whole thing without interruption. Excuse the chimes that occur a couple times. It was my phone system while I was recording it that created them.

Attempting to depersonalized the remarks is pretty clever of the Sharpton. He wants us to accept that Wright is criticizing the government and not the leaders, not the citizens.
As usual Sharpton’s nonsense doesn’t stand up to scrutiny. Wrights criticism went far beyond government policy and programs encompassing whites, Italians, Europeans, Hilary Clinton, Rudy Giulianni as in; “We bombed”, “culture controlled by rich, white people”, “Romans were rich, the Romans were Italians, which means they were European, which means they were white”, “why so many folk are hatin’ on Barack Obama. He doesn’t fit the model – he ain’t white, he ain’t rich, and he ain’t privileged. Hillary fits the mold. Europeans fit the mold. Giuliani fits the mold. Rich, white men fit the mold.”

Next time they show Rev Wright in the video loop, look at his shirt when he is standing next to Obama it reads 1550 Africa. I would need someone to check the exact date but this is what they mean by African Centric Church. This is how they date America. they go back to the start of the Slave Trade into this Country (Their ancestors involvement) before it was even colonies, before it was a Country. If you watched the Million Man March, Louis Farrakhan refers to this date also. Remember the European references, we “The African Centered Church” are outsiders they don’t start American History at the same place many Americans do, we start with colonization and the forming of the Country pre Rev War. Well I start it earlier but I am a Family Historian, that is why I notice these things, it all goes back to who’s eyes your looking out of. Their history starts with the slave trade in the mid 1500s. We all are of European descent, well that is simplistic and not true (we are all kinds of things) this is the melting pot and has been for some time, whether people like it or not. Obama is proof of how that works.
You have to think separately, they don’t include themselves into regular American History, I guess, they are exiles? stranded in a bigger community made up of European descendents. It isn’t that hard to wrap your head around if you listen to their monologues, and their speechs. This is where the criticism of bombing Japan during WWII comes from, they are on lookers, by standers, not participants.
You can’t have a Nation State inside another Sovereign Nation. I remember way back, I think it was George W Bush’s first term, he was up in Washington State and a member of an American Indian Tribe, was trying to get him to answer the question if he recognized American Indian Nations…you can’t have a Nation inside a Nation it won’t work, otherwise you have no sovereignty and no sovereignty means you cease to exist as a Nation. George W Bush didn’t answer but I was answering the question, of course they couldn’t hear me

Obama is in a tough situation. Blacks are coming out for him at a 90% rate. If he appears to be softening for whites these numbers will adjust.
Assume Obama numbers with blacks drop and Hillary begins to get her share of those votes. All of a sudden Obama’s margin over Hillary is cut. No, he has to keep up appearances with his base till the primary is over.

With reference to the Passport thing I too was surprised to hear that the first breach occured in January.
The question is who “Really was behind this”, and what did they glean from this other than his Social Security Number?
Did they think he flew to Afghanistan and visited Bin Laden?
But it is perfect timing. The News will be full of this story. Take the focus off of the Grandma. Which I don’t find amusing at all.

We must believe Obama on this one. When I wrote awhile back. If that is all his sermons were about then Obama was wrong. But it is apparent they were not.
And since that GD America comment was from a sermon in 2003, I do not think it applies now to what Barack Obama stands for.

Does Imus want all the people who are for Hillary to stop listening to him? I wonder. I could go around calling McCain an old coot, but I won’t. I happen to have a lot of respect for him, and even if I didn’t, I wouldn’t tear him down till there was nothing left of him but a mental picture of a shrivel of a human being.
If this site is sanctified and purified McCain, then why isn’t it called “Imus Times For John McCain”…then you could really weed it out and you could be preaching to the choir all the time and that would be totally enlightening, right?

No, this site is not just for McCain supporters.
It has little to do with Imus’ support for McCain, although McCain’s honesty, and Imus’ honesty, tend to draw similar people to both of them.
