I believe I read earlier in the year on Marie Winn’s website that the Parks Dept. will not do any further testing on Pale Male’s nest, even though they didn’t retrieve the eggs early enough last year for any significant testing. Very poor cooperation. We may never find out anything unfortunately.

The smoke will be seen all the way to New York. Russert said today that Hillary needs 69 percent of the remaining primary votes to even get close to Obama. And he felt that was impossible. And I agree. The only 69 she ever got was… Oh Well. No I won’t say that.

I was watching Dick Gregory, this morning he is so funny he reminds me a little of Will Rogers. I am glad he came into the studio.
I am glad I watched Rev Jeremiah Wright explain the different doesn’t mean deffienct. I heard that and was like where is that coming from? That isn’t in my head, I won’t let the seed be planted, that all people are in agreement on that idea, that somehow this exsist in all people’s head. It helped when he expanded that it starts with Anthropolgy then Theology and ends up in our Society. After he said that, I checked myself for that chain of thought and I don’t share it. These broad statements remarks are devisive, these remarks are not being focused narrowly or targeted for a key group so when he makes them it reminds me that there is a feeling of his need to defend himself….but he is swatting at hornets and hitting honeybees. The Media has made up their minds how they are going to shape his comments. There is a life lesson here for him they used the MSM last April insisting Imus be fired now this is the same MSM they were manipulating playing the NHH soundbyte in a loop, it is now using Rev Jeremiah Wrights soundbytes for ratings. I think Lou Dobbs called it right this morning, he needs a big cup of shut up. Rev J Wright, let a brother eat his waffle.
I think my life experience must be different then others, I have moved around alot because of Army life,appears to be more cohesion inside the services then outside society at large or people like Rev J Wright are in the minority way of thinking?
In my experience Army life, the people you chose to get in the foxhole with, isn’t based on their skin color it is on merit. You want someone who is watching your back and you watch theirs so you don’t pick people who are not good at what they do, you chose from the people who have something going on and that isn’t based on color. The word drive and ambition comes to mind if you want to excel and make rank in the military, that isn’t based on ethnicity that is based on Drive how good you are at what you do inside the Services.
We have experienced personally at least twice two African American Army Sargents, that have been wounded in this present war. One of these Service men was stationed with my husband in Alabama and his wife is also in the Army. My husband went into visit him, when he was being treated in Brookes Military hospital, he had been blown up, there were three of them, one soldier died, one lost a limb and he was messed up but he still had all his parts. My husband asked him what happened what were you doing. He said, I was just standing there minding my own business…that is what an American Soldier is like after they almost get blown to peices, these are not tame weak people I am proud of all of them. Does Rev Jeremiah Wright really think that Americans think less of this man’s service to his country it is somehow deemed deffienct? The second man we met was at Grapevine Lake, there was a Veterans tent up at a big lakeside event, This Vet was a top sargent and an MP and had been in charge of troops, he was blown up, they were putting him back together. I couldn’t shake his hand because of the nerve damage the bomb had caused. How did I feel about his service did I think he was somehow deffienct because of his color? NO it made me angry, inside the Military service (career soldiers) we see Americans, my hope was that somebody else another soldier had stomped the enemy, that had wreaked havoc on these two American Military Servicemen’s lives. Imus always talks about who he would want in the Foxhole with him, I would want another American, I don’t care what color they are. Rev Jeremiah Wright doesn’t want to assimilate, fine this is America it is a free country, that also means I can reject his negative vision of America. America is better, then it’s flaws. God Bless America.
What is Jeremiah Wright trying to do here? He seems extremely happy to be the focus of attention, but this entire thing is dividing not uniting. Nobody is attacking the black church. That was a defense that was brought up after the videos surfaced, that we did not understand the black church experience.

While in Arkansas last week, I got to experience RFD a little. My mom had it on her Dish satellite, but I still didn’t get to see Imus on it. He comes on so early and with all the activity later at night, it was just impossible to get up that early and she had no way to record. I was hoping to see the “repeat” in primetime, but it wasn’t scheduled at all. Is this only on DirectTV and not satellite?..the repeat, I mean. I could have seen it Thursday and Friday night. I was disappointed. Otherwise, I saw some FFA programming and the Gaithers, but somehow missed the cows!

I have a problem with Rev J Wright’s discription of the U.S Govt., they say that President Bush is on record as doing the most for $$$ Aids in Africa, in fact the Bristish Rockers have been in the newscycle saying so…then there is the idea that we are grinding people under our heel? What about everytime there is a natural or man made disaster, who shows up the American Military, it is a convienent memory that forgets the tidalwave in Indonesia and surrounding areas, only American Military helicopters could get in and what about everytime there is a disaster, everyday American citizens forking over their hard earned doolars for charity and relief? There are folks still going down to NOLA to volunteer it is on Television. The cost to the U.S. Govt for the Gulf Coast post Katrina is in the high Billions. Pakistan had an earthquake American – Aid and Dollars showed up…I forget which was the last country that came to our aid, with their Country’s dollars? No I don’t share the same point of view as Rev Jeremiah Wright. America isn’t shangrila, utopia, eden, the promise land but it sure is better then alot of other places on earth. I would like to know since Trinity is an African Centered Church, what are they doing for the folks in Liberia, the descendents of American Slaves? Oprah don’t you think they could use some good schools?

If Barack Obama had not chosen this particular church and this particular pastor (one pastor has been there for 35 years) to align himself with, Jeremiah Wright would be in the shadows where he belongs. So it is not possible to separate the two. In his interview with Moyers Barack said himself it is a legitimate political issue.
American policies “grind under other people”, quoting Jeremiah Wright. What is Madman Wright talking about? He mocked John F. Kennedy and white people in general.
So I don’t feel any sympathy for Barack Obama because of Jeremiah Wright. He is now making sure, for whatever reason, that Barack Obama is DONE. But this is Obama’s own fault.

And he refused to distance himself from Louis Farrakhan, calling him “one of the most important voices of the 20th and 21st centuries.” Wright downplayed Farrakhan’s anti-Semitism, suggesting that the Nation of Islam leader has earned a bum rap on this front because he once criticized Zionism in a speech 20 years ago. (For the record, last November, Farrakhan blasted “satanic Jews” for running the entertainment industry.) Wright also declared, “Louis Farrakhan is not my enemy. He did not put me in chains. He did not put me in slavery. And he did not make me this color.” His fans in the audience cheered loudly.

My take on Dick Gregory.

I have many hours of splicing for the entire 6 part segment to make sense. And when you hear it and listen a couple times you will understand what Gregory was saying.

Seems like Brady and Hinckley are reporting different results for the Winter Ratings. Although Hinckley’s reporting was based on an interview with Phil Boyce. What did Phil have to say to Hinckley? “Frankly, I pay more attention now to PPM than to diary numbers,” says WABC program director Phil Boyce, “because soon that will be our standard.” Maybe PPM accounts for the difference. At any rate djjack was right, why would you trust Boyce over any other radio suit….

Finneran’s station KO’d by WTKK in ratings drive

WRKO radio host Tom Finneran has been hit with his worst ratings yet – and has failed to attract the throngs of listeners station suits were banking on during his 14 months on the air.
With Finneran manning the morning drive, WRKO-AM (680) lost more than 23,000 key listeners this winter compared to the fall among the revenue-generating 25- to 54-year-old demographic, according to Arbitron ratings released yesterday.
Finneran had a 1.1. share and 35,800 average weekly listeners in that important group of listeners this winter, from Jan. 10 to April 2. The resurrected Don Imus at WTKK-FM (96.9) beat Finneran more than 3-to-1, ranking 10th with a 3.5 share in the key demo.
Finneran debuted on WRKO in February 2007 with much hype but has languished in 15th and 16th place in morning-drive among 25- to 54-year-olds. During winter 2007, he had a 1.6 share in that demo; followed by a 1.9 last spring; a 1.6 last summer and a 2.0 last fall.
“Tom is working extremely hard and he’ll do what he needs to do to bounce back,” said WRKO program director Jason Wolfe.
In overall listenership among people ages 12 and up from 6 a.m. to midnight, WTKK was No. 6 with a 4.1 share while WRKO ranked No. 9 with a 3.8. It’s the first time WTKK has beaten WRKO in overall listenership.
