He is hilarious, but seemed to have been trying to be a very "serious" talk show host for his employers. He's better with Imus and the gang, more himself. Maybe they were testing him to see if he passed, and to see how popular he actually is. I think he "passed" their test, and perhaps in the future can go back to "Bernie", once it is obvious he can also bring in the ratings=money. For some reason I thought/hoped he would be better. He wasn't horrible, but I just thought he'd be a bit smoother, more fluid. Frankly I think part of the problem is too much Warner Wolf.
