Was wondering the same thing. Maybe it had something to do with Gibson’s people asking for an Imus interview. Bookers can be pushy, may have made a comment or implied a threat or something.
Isn’t WABC-AM and WABC-TV owned by the same people? I was thinking the other day about how all the MSNBC idiots used to be on that show but not too many of the ABC News people are on now (despite the show being on RFD). I know he’s had Alex Stone and Ann Compton (sp?) on, but I kind of liked that aspect before and it’s not much there now.
Am I the only one who misses Ashley, too?
No WABC TV and WABC radio are not owned by the same Corporations.
WABC-TV is still partially owned by Disney. WABC-Radio is owned by Citadel Broadcasting. Two separate entities.
RFD is fine if your on Direct or Dish. OR you live in an area that get’s them on standard cable. I wish he could have gotten on Comedy Central. They only run garbage at 6AM. Possibly they didn’t have the money, and with no Radio deal it wasn’t in his best interest.
Imus is big on giving his audience a free experience. Not like Stern on Sirius Satellite radio. Garbage in my opinion.
I like Ashley too. But you know there had to be casualties in this. Larry Kenney was one of them too. But guess his characters didn’t fit the new show.

With the rain we are getting in Florida the chance of qualifications being rained out are good, meaning he doesn’t get an automatic entry.

Comedy Central is indeed owned by Viacom which was spun off of CBS. Behind the scenes explanation for the spin-off is the executive management of Viacom could not get along with Les Moonves.
Chanx, the Iman was bashing Gibson before the Pacman dustup and it sounded like that is when they called for the interview. It is strange that he has been having Stephanopoulos on but then just gives ABC h*ll. But the Gibson deal must have really been tough, sounds like it rates in there with HF Jr. For some reason the Gibson tirade strikes me as unbecoming; maybe a little more personal.

Less than two weeks ago, I traveled by the Cog Rail to the summit of Pikes Peak. Above the timberline, there is a spot designated as “Inspiration Point.” From there precisely, you can see the famed “purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain.” It is named Inspiration Point because it was such for the poet Katherine Lee Bates who thereupon wrote a poem/hymn we call “America the Beautiful.”
By the way, the Cog Rail is the most expedient way to go there. My husband once went by foot; Bates went by carriage and mule. However you get there, the view from the top is breathtaking in more ways than one.

Certain persons that are posting at this time remind me of “self absorbed people” that can’t think freely without their “Talking Points” from whatever side…and that discourages me. They need to educate themselves ( I DON’T mean on the internet, or from email crap they receive) and just use a couple of great basic denominators: their minds, and their hearts.
I truly am worried for our country, not because it isn’t a great country, or a country of great people…but because from what I am reading. Many people are allowing themselves to be driven down to the lowest common denominator in intelligence. A lot of people have been “dumbed-down” (hats off to the media / technology) and can’t think and reason for themselves any more. We DO have the capacity to rise above all of that. Will it happen? CAN it happen?
The answer to THAT scares me more than any terrorists…LOL.

Okay I can’t stand tech help I am downstairs accessing my router that is attached to my computer upstairs but according to Verizon they can’t tell it is on -the router they say that there is something wrong with my ethernet card no there isn’t, I did a diagnostics..I might have a hardware device conflict but that isn’t of any interest to A -Vonage not a good idea everyone thinking of trying this Phone service or B- Verizon. One time I got a real good phone tech from Verizon, I guess he felt lonely and moved on
So I sent myself a new password to the downstairs computer using my D Link accessing my router up stairs, that won’t run the home phone or let me on the internet…sigh. If it isn’t working then how come I can use it downstairs.
Meanwhile back on the “Dark Continent” Monrovia, Liberia, Mr Fix It, is informing me the local women would like to husbainate him, lookin for a greencard hmmm..so he says you know we could get some cattle and land out of this but when we go out, we will have to hide the dogs, from her and the neighbors. Have you tried Skype? Forget Vonage, everyone this one is free. You need a headset with a microphone which you plug into your sound card on the back of your computer, this is pretty easy to use. Let me know if you try it. I am calling Africa, we didn’t even make it two weeks without something breaking

I tried three times …I’m on a Mac …using Firefox …message I received …connection reset …site may by too busy or unavailable. I’m not going to worry about it. This may be a sign from God. It could be the good Lord telling me to go find something better to do with my time.
