I have to say I am really enjoying being able to visit this site as a fan of the show, thanks to the contributions of ChannelXRFR and P.T. Bartman. Huge thanks to both of those guys, it’s great to just tune into the show a bit more like the old days.

I need one more person to volunteer to share duties, as an Editor of this site. You’ll be able to approve top posts and post your own as well. If interested, please contact supportimus at gmail dot com.

I’m hoping to bring SupportImus.org back in a better role as soon as possible and it will prominently feature the feed from Imus Times.

I have a feeling if I used the Jesse Jackson reference about Senator Obama I’d be talking to Al Sharpton again. How Does Bill Clinton get away with it?   Imus with guest Michael Graham WTKK (1/28/2007)

Well guess what?

Rev Al jumped in with some unsolicited advice for Bill…

With the South Carolina victory, Barack Obama established himself as a black leader with a commanding 81% of the black vote.   Compare this to the Revs paltry 17% black vote just four years ago.  Al Sharpton holding on to his endorsement is losing ground in the black community daily.

Gerald Ford Flatsigned

Listen to the spot! (Edited by Lenny)

Flatsigned Press claims national radio host Don Imus insulted the company last year in ads it paid for to promote a book by Former President Gerald Ford on the Warren Commission’s investigation into the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

And now they’re suing.

In the lawsuit, filed in Manhattan’s state Supreme Court, FlatSigned Press Inc. says Imus insulted the company last year in ads it paid for to promote a book by Ford on the Warren Commission’s investigation into the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

On his “Imus in the Morning” show, the talker told his listeners and viewers the publishers “have been waiting for (Ford) to croak so they can unload these (books),”

Court papers also claim that at a point where Imus was supposed to say Ford hand-signed the books before he died, Imus asked, “How else would he sign them, with his foot?” the lawsuit says. (more…)

Media Matters for America, watchdog group and self-appointed protector of Hillary Clinton’s virtue is at it again. The following summary was posted on Media Matters’ website:

Imus and Carlson invoke Chavez to smear Dem presidential candidates

Summary: While discussing Hillary Clinton with fellow radio host Jay Severin, Don Imus asked, “Well, why do we think that we — I mean, why don’t we just select [Venezuelan President] Hugo Chavez, then, if we want some rabid nut? (more…)

Christopher Hitchens takes his turn expressing this critical point(with his customary greatness):

Let us give hearty thanks and credit to Rudy Giuliani, who has never by word or gesture implied that we would fracture any kind of “ceiling” if we elected as chief executive a man whose surname ends in a vowel.

Martin Luther KingMartin

And when this happens, when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual:

Free at last! Free at last!

Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!

There has been some interesting dialog here regarding the presidential elections.  What’s intriguing about the Democratic primary is that there really is no predictability as to who is falling in line where.  That became evident when Joe Leiberman endorsed a Republican.  Usually the endorsement phase of a primary is about as exciting as watching a cow chew cud.  This year it’s been like “Just one more cow, baby.” (more…)

Springfield Squares – Nancy O Dell, Pat O’Brien

Old Times

Pat O’Brien returns to Imus, mixing it up.  Telling Imus he has a place in NYC, where he overlooks the Imus’ puny little place.  They then reminisce over their bar fly days.   Imus and Charles reveal a man crush on O’Brien.  Of course they do! O’Brien leaves the impression the crush is unrequited, so sad for the boys.

Ha Ha Ha I, like Al Haig, am now in complete control.

But seriously folks. I went to the Deirdre Imus Center Website and also her Wikipedia Page. didn’t find what was asked for, but having read both what I’ve come up with is she must be one hell of an administrator. To run that many “organizations” that well she obviously knows how to surround herself with competent people, provide direction, then delegate responsibilities.

On a Lighter note here’s a link to the Cracked article.

And finally Time Magazine runs a feature called Ten Questions, where they ask Celebrities questions submitted by readers. (more…)
