I have to say I am really enjoying being able to visit this site as a fan of the show, thanks to the contributions of ChannelXRFR and P.T. Bartman. Huge thanks to both of those guys, it’s great to just tune into the show a bit more like the old days.
I need one more person to volunteer to share duties, as an Editor of this site. You’ll be able to approve top posts and post your own as well. If interested, please contact supportimus at gmail dot com.
I’m hoping to bring SupportImus.org back in a better role as soon as possible and it will prominently feature the feed from Imus Times.
Sheesh! I’m computer illiterate – lucky to be able to do only rudimentary tasks ie: e-mail. Wish I had the talent to do the job! Alas & Alack! I have nought. I’m sure there are savvy people on this site who would fill the bill – with a sense of amusement & wit. To heck with it ~ when do I start?
Well, thanks for the invitation Keith…but I could be this sites worst nightmare…LOL.
Put it this way: If ChanX and P.T.Bartman will “tutor” me…I might be interested…
But, in all seriousness…and being sincere…Keith, ChanX and P.T. have done one hell of a great job here. If I could contribute occasionally…I would love to. You all have my email…so if THAT can happen, I would be more than willing to contribute when asked…if I can (need some tutoring BIG TIME)…aside from all of this:
I just LOVE this site, the format…and the people.
Don
BACK THEN HE SAID THIS IN RESPONSE TO DON IMUS!
Kwame Kilpatrick, the so-called hip-hop mayor, said something that seems to suggest a major shift in cultural consciousness, one aimed to attack the dragon of gangster rap and everything else that degrades and dehumanizes.
“Today,” Kilpatrick said, “we are not just burying the N-word, we’re taking it out of our spirit. We gather burying all of the things that go with the N-word. We have to bury the pimps and the hos that go with it.”

Harley…having been born and raised just south of Detroit all my life… until moving recently to Grand Rapids… I have seen these people come…and go (think Coleman Young here…).
To me, they have been crafted from the same “cloth” as “Irrelevant Sharpton”.
They have put themselves above common people, and care to answer to no one.
I’m going to Google Coleman Young. But, my thing is all of these folks piled up on Imus while they had skeletons in their closet!!!!!!!! What gives????? Is there more to come?????
Matt Taibbi gets a thumbs up from Michelle Malkin posters. Comments under: Maxine Waters endorses Hillary. There was some water gate talk going on, I thought that was a natural place to post Matt’s article: the new nixon. Mookie responding already reading Matt ๐
That is a wonderful article by Matt, “The New Nixon” two of my best friends voted for Nader in 2000, they called it a protest vote. I told them both, you don’t get it, the Democrats are not paying attention to us, you are wasting your time and vote, they will make some excuse to the Media, for why some Dems voted for Nader, the Media will repeat it. So Matt was paying attention, what a smart cookie.
PTB – Taking a few minutes out from the party we’re having here in TN to celebrate your birthday. Made some great tuna croquettes and potato soup, but your cake was THE BEST! Alternate layers of French Vanilla and Chocolate Silk with raspberry filling and that great crunchy icing. We even had a surrogate blow out the candles.
Now it is time to toast you with a bit of Cava. Everyone, lift you glasses in a (stolen) toast to PTB!
“Here’s to those who wish you well, all the rest can go to h*ll.”
Happy, Happy Birthday PTB and many more.
Happy Birthday PT..and many more. You are one of the best examples..along with ChanX of the I-nation. Not only that, you are a good writer..which always has a high place in my book cause I think I can write as well..although I havent done a lot of it on the web and such.
I would love to contribute on this site as well..although, im not sure if I am up for editor or not…
Happy bday PT!
Since when do they have Bjork doing news updates on RFD?
Good morning and God Bless! ::clears throat::
Well Imus in the Morn’, it’s been about two months, and I’m relegated to bein’ on the back of a sour milk carton. I hope your fever goes so high yer stupid head spontaneously combusts, ya scarecrow-lookin’ douche bag ya, bejeez!
Let’s talk about the State of the Union address the other night, Imus in the Morn’. Hillary clinton, dressed up like a Chinese flag, leavin’ one to only imagine where the five stars were, God forgive me. Nothin’ like her sendin’ a shout out to yer old homies at the last stage of only other man to ever be on top of ya, flaming dingbat! Or maybe, just maybe, it was a tailor-made outfit from her father, the grandmaster of Hell himself! I couldn’t tell, but I hope he left a little hole in the back for her tail to poke out, bejeez. Where’s the pitchfork honey, forget it at home or did ya let the stainmaker borrow it again? And then, when this horn-headed bitch goes to shake hands with the brandy-nosed bridge diver himself, the Hussein oreo turns his back to speak with Senator McCaskill, who at a quick glance does resemble the great satan herself, bejeez, except for the receeding hairline, God forgive me.
And what’s the deal with Rudy Giuliani, Imus in the Morn’? This hobbit-lookin’ hunched over ol’ dwarf’s campaign dropped faster than a Thai hooker in an airport bathroom. Happy trails, indeed, and enjoy your time at the family reunion – say hi to your kids for me!
Now, we’re left with McCain and Romney dukin’ it out like a nurse with a patient in a nursing home. Respect your elders, bejeez, even if they do have black babies.
Now bow your heads ya heathen dirtbags – in the name of the father, the son, and the holy ghost, Bill Clinton to shut the hell up we want the most, Lord hear our prayer. Lord, we pray that woman who put her grandson in the dog cage is sentenced by a judge to go to a vet to be spayed, Lord hear our prayer. Lord, we pray the falling satellite, falling at a deadly rate right on Steve Capus’ stupid block head, Lord hear our prayer.
WHICH DOESN’T BELONG AND WHY?!
Which doesn’t belong and why?!
a) George W. Bush
b) Howard Stern
c) Imus in the Morn’
Well despite the fact that all three of these former drug-addicted dirtbags should all have checked out a very, very long time ago, the answer is clearly a, George W. Bush, because unlike the other two idiots, even Howard Stern has at least one person to who cares about what he has to say on that stupid satellite deal.
God bless us and save us!
Bart – Hope you had a great B-Day reminded me of your “The Birth of the I-Nation” as well as how your relationship with Don Imus began with a radio as a birthday present.
Happy Next-day, hope it’s a good year for you….
ChanX
ChanX, when you addressed PT as Bart, the name of “Bartleby the Scrivener” just popped into my head… ?? ๐
Bartleby, how appropriate regarding to PT. Frec, Thanx
I have been leaving comments on Imus Truth – ideas for the Sales people at WABC. This is in response to Imus mentioning his meeting with the sales people yesterday and the question they have gotten from some advertizers….about what if Imus says something again…well Imus is on a 7 HOUR DELAY so hopefully one of the radio folks will catch it ๐
With Keith (ImusTimes), ChannelX and PTBartman doing editorial comments on this site it is so refreshing then what I read on Imus Truth.
Here we discuss all things about Imus in the Morning and what affects him and he gang. As much as it would be easy to pick apart the show for content, personalaties and technical aspects of the show, we do but in a positive light.
Many of us do post on both sites and still remain positive, ignoring those that have nothing but picking at everything and anything they don’t like. And I was accused of controlling that site???? Go figure.
Wishing the pre April Imus back on the air with Larry Kenney, The Cardinal and Mayor Nagin is a wonderful dream. But that is all it is, A dream that will not come true.
To have Don Imus and the old gang back is like a cheap way of getting therapy. I am very thankful for them in whatever form.
Without mentioning any names one in particular on the other site are so against Karith and Tony they wish they just disappeared. Now after these many weeks they have added many good things to the show. Tony has his stride. Karith needs a little polish on delivery (IMO). But many times they add a flavor to the show we never received in the old one. And they are as controversial as they can be without going over that imaginary line.
So thank you everyone for your contributions here at Imus Times and soon to be back Support Imus.
If it weren’t for this place I would be emailing myself. LOL
Patrick Gottsch, the founder and president of RFD-TV, a cable channel that carries Mr. Imusโs show but primarily chronicles life in rural America, said on Wednesday morning that he had signed an affiliation agreement with Comcast, the nationโs largest cable operator. That means RFD-TV is now authorized to begin negotiations to be carried on individual Comcast cable systems, including those in Baltimore, Detroit, Philadelphia, Seattle, Denver and Nashville
For full story:
Oh! Inside material (re to THINuts) says Imus. What fun to have a few of these secrets, just like an old married couple. Good show today and with a temp of 104! Am I the only one worried about him today? Always… ? Can anyone with RFD see if he is using oxygen? He had the unit with him on the RFD special and was using it in one shot. Emphysema is an insidious disease.
All,
Have a look at this petition to Time Warner in Ohio to carry RFD TV. They state the reason on the right hand side.
http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/RFD-TV/signatures-4.html
Hey Laree, check out this quote from the page you posted. She talks about the impacthorses have on the economy. Pretty funny.
“Do you at Time Warner realize the impact of horses on th us Economy? It has a 112.1 billion dollar impact and over 7 million people are involved in horses. I think it about time that we have a TV channel were we can enjoy our shows about horses. If Time Warner doesn’t get RFD-TV you will be losing more and more horse people to direct tv.”
Waterpaint,
Yes, it does make me anxious when Imus is sick. I am co-dependent on Imus. When he’s not well, I’m not well. When he’s not there, I’m “not there.”
I am glad that “Nurse Karith” is there every day on the set since “Dr. Deirdre” can’t be. Next best thing to me being there myself giving him his meds.
๐
skiwolf
I will post this over on Imus Truth- the time warner petition.
I have been watching Imus and his Tiger comment today when Charles was reporting on the SF ZOO Tiger attack. Imus tease the Tiger and it will eat your ass ๐ Yeah that is the law of the jungle, I don’t how it works at San Fransico Zoo though.
I was reading Chickaboomer’s article on Tucker Carlson and found this site “Dickipedia” it is funny and just like Wikipedia you can add bios.

NOTE: Scroll to the the bottom…and read upwards.
You are simply wrong. Contracts don’t have to be signed to have legal
contracts. Verbal contracts are enforcable for 12 months in every
state in
the USA. You are simply wrong about the core of your statement.

My latest email to Tim Miller, of Flatsigned Press was as follows:
“Are you publicly stating that you and your company had a ” verbal agreement” with Don Imus?” ….
waiting for his response….
Donald,
That surely is an incredible discussion. It is very curious that Mr. Miller would be blogging and otherwise engaging in correspondence regarding the pending lawsuit. Wonder what his motivation is, publicity maybe? CBS and Imus have between 30 to 45 days to respond to the complaint. Anyone wiling to bet the complaint will be dropped the day before the deadline?
Warmest Regards,
ChanX
ChanX:
In my opinion….I will await his “latest response”.
My GUT feeling?….this lawsuit was being offered to be settled by CBS and WFAN…but they wanted to go after the BIG BUCKS….
They should have settled with CBS and WFAN and just shut up.
By the way… CBS and WFAN DID offer to settle…
the BIG question? Did they, in fact have a “verbal agreement” with Don Imus. If not…well…
I will post Tim Millers response as I receive it.
As always, Don
Just in…Time Millers response to my last question put to him…
” Are you publicly stating that you and your company had “a verbal agreement” with Don Imus?”
His response…and I’m not done with him YET…LOL…
Of course I had an agreement with Don Imus personally via his agents.

I will NOW ask him WHO the agents were…lol
My latest question to Time Miller was: “Who were the agents, and what were their names?”
Anyone who might want to pin down this weasel feel free…His Email is posted in the above thread….
ChanX is right…it is simply unbelievable that Mr. Miller continues to engage in any interaction with you, Donald. Does he think you are Imus’s lawyer??? You have nothing to lose, but he does. I predict the kibosh will be put on Mr. Miller’s e-mailing very soon, followed shortly by a review of his actions by Flatsign’s full Board…
LOL Frec…
It simply tells me what kind of a “reputable company”, that would let the “Board Chairman ” run his mouth like he is doing.
If he replies with names (Imus’ agents) I will post it…
….but you may be right…if he is doing this without the company law firms direction…
I’ll keep you all updated.
From Wikipedia, where else?
Agent (law): a person authorised to act on behalf of another person.
Can you imagine Imus authorizing a sales person to act oh his behalf? Good luck with that argument.
Giuliani is out…and backing McCain.
John Edwards is now out…who will he be throughing his support to? go?
The Presidential Race tightens up….
throughing…not even a word…
THROWING…..lol
Lenny, if you’re still out there…I had a “V-8” moment this afternoon (while watching John Edwards)…the torch has indeed been passed to a new generation – it’s you. You ARE the new Cardinal.
I have a clear sense at this time that “the Cardinal” (along with “Mayor Nagin”) has been unofficially consigned to the Elephants’ Graveyard of beloved Imus bits of the past. So Lenny, it may be up to you.
“The Fake Cardinal” has also demonstrated your writing and blogging skills. There are many fine and qualified posters here, including the current editors. You are in their league. If the floor is still open for nominations, and if you are available, I nominate you as a candidate for the new “Imus Times” Co-Editor.
Maybe this is arguing semantics, but I’ve neve been anti-semantic in my life. Isn’t this quote a contradiction in terms. How can you have a “personal relationship” via an “agent”?
Hey, Happy Belated Birthday PT! We’ve been working hard to get the kiddies ready for the BIG test!!!! How did you spend your B-Day????
Thanks Harley, (and anyone I might of missed.
I woke up yesterday morning and checked the numbers and I hit the pick 4 boxed with my birth year. Imus had on the blind boys, the Presidential Historian, Lieberman, and one of my all time faves Greenfield, and Karl (Karl: can you love a chicken? Karith: that crosses the line a little, Tony: actually it crosses the road) and then of all things I man plays some Ramones.
After that I humg out online relaxed then went to the tavern I work at. My boss made me a pot roast dinner, I had a few beers, shot some pool.
Quiet day.
PTB
Frec,
You’re sweet. Thanks. ๐ We’ll see what happens. ๐
Bart,
Which tavern are you at again? I really, really need to come by since I’ve been promising it forever. Send me an email if you don’t wanna announce it.
~L
Laree, I think you would make a good candidate for Editor too.
Mr. I-Times, how many openings are there? There are a lot of talented people here…you might have trouble choosing…
Well Media Matters picked up Don’s comments (Don Imus) that is. Regarding Bill Clinton

YALL NEED TO VOTE FOR RFD-TV!!!!! DO IT NOW!!!!!
Harley,
I already posted the link to Media Matters. Maybe you overlooked the previous posts.
And why is that Jossip blog for me. They are morons.
Thank you anyway.
Good Morning Bruce! What happened? I thought we were a team when it came to folks trying to demonize the I-Man? ๐
I haven’t been able to get on here due to NCLB; the kiddies have to pass the BIG test!!!!!
We are Harley,
I didn’t realize I portrayed something other then a fact. I commented at Jossip. “4th Grade Jokes”. Come on, they must be kidding.
When you mentioned you couldn’t get on here I thought you meant you had troubles with the site. I had that happen last night. But just had to reboot my system for it to work.
What is NCLB?
OH… You placed that notification about MMFA on Imus Truth. A place I cannot post on. But thanks for the mention.
No Child Left Behind. W’s answer to what is wrong with our schools.
I should have known that. Duh! Thank you for educating me with the translation.
I’ve joined you over on the Jossip site. Let’s see what develops……………..:)
Hey Fake Egan,
the name of the tavern is The Little York Tavern. 569 Spring Mills Rd. Milford NJ. 908-996-4688. Open 7 days a week. Super bowl party (food, fun and prizes) beginning at 3:30 pm.
PTB
Thanks Harley,
PT. Sounds like a nice place your going to on Sunday.
Here is the site information.
http://local.yahoo.com/details?id=11004304
LOL — funny hearing IMUS talk about the nudists on the plane and how these are NOT people you want to see naked.
Reminds me that we live just a couple of miles from the oldest nudist colony in the country. Trust me — he is right these are not people you want to see naked. Scary stuff.
My Grandson is gearing up for Super Bowl Sunday.
I am not sure which team he is for? but I am pretty sure his Mom is rooting for the Giants.
Too funny ree. What a Ham.
Buchanan bummed me out this moring talking about how HRC can beat McCain. Sure wish guys like him and Limbaugh would get over their dislike for McCain. If the repub base is not energized McCain will lose to Clinton. Major bummer if that happens IMO.
skiwolf,
Tune into Levin tonight and listen to him go off on McCain.
This is from Levin’s website MarkLevinShow.Com
PT,
He was singing that tune to us over the phone last night, I told my daughter she needed to flim him, he is too funny, he lost one of his front teeth because his buddy Bruno, knocked it out, they are best friends, you know boys can do that a girl would never speak to you again. He really wasn’t upset about him knocking his tooth out as much as finding the tooth afterwards, my daughter said, he kept looking for it because of the tooth fairy BG Well that concludes my family gearing up for Super Bowl Sunday ๐
Sorry chanex, but I can only listen to Levine on those when I feel like putting an ice pick in my ear which is not all that often.
Levine may be an extreme example of talk radio’s attack on McCain. I can take him for up to 10 minutes, after that its on to ESPN…
Interesting how the Democrats are pulling themselves apart over race issues. While at the same time Republicans are pulling themselves apart over conservative positions. This is shaping up as a very interesting primary…
I don’t get why MMFA put this up, where is it wrong? where is the disinformation?
http://mediamatters.org/items/200801300009
I prefer to try in believe in the points made by Frank Rich in last Sunday’s NY Times.
McCain’s numbers in Florida were actually not bad in terms of the so called conservative Repub base. I hope some people are starting to come around and understand what the guy is all about. Plus he is a big draw among independents and it is said that he will do well with Hispanic voters.
The “other” site is kind of funny. Obviously a number of “motherly types” over there who worry about health issues with the Iman. Kind of cute actually.
Mark Levin may have a different voice but he is passionate about what he says. He is very correct about McCain.
He is a Democrat in Republican clothing.
The nice thing about his show is he has free Pod Casts. Go to http://www.marklevinshow.com and you will find them.
This is my opinion.
When McCain won NH the talking heads said just wait till he gets to SC “he’s to liberal”. McCain won SC and the talkers said it was because of a cross over vote, wait till he gets to Fl and faces a closed primary. He wins Fl! Pundits say real conservatives, true republicans are not voting for McCain. Will see what happens on Tuesday and who votes for McCain and what the excuses are….
I must apologize for the repeated posts of the MMFA print. Last night as I told Harley I couldn’t get on here to post it. After contacting ChannelX he said it was considered Spam. But never thought it would be showing up after I finally was able to post it later on.
So Channel… Please delete all these duplicates. It makes me look like the guy who needs attention. And that I don’t want to happen on a peaceful site like this one.
Those on Imus Truth need some lessons taught. But it is a waste of typing. They keep going over the same old thing.
Of course all of Charles McCord’s rants are staged. That is why the show is humorous. But most everything else is not.
The show is great. The cast is great. Dr. Phil is great. So what’s the complaint. Nothing, Nada!!!!!!
Some people are so serious it truly sickens me.
Don Imus is sick. He has a chest infection. Not good. But he is a trooper. If he was contagious he would not come to work. But he unlike most of us enjoys his job. And unless he is in the Hospital he will be on the air.
Hopefully after tomorrow he can relax and follow the Doctors recommendations. The I-Man is truly irreplaceable.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it Curtis Sliwa.
Wow now that was an interesting rant — I guess.
McCain is NOT a Dem in Repub clothing. He is moderate Republican who has a knack of actually getting stuff done between the two parties and is more practical vs. ideological. Something this country needs in the worst way IMO .
Mr. Wolf,
If McCain obtains the nomination he will not beat any democrat that does become the nominee.
You could check this out by listening to Rush, Hannity and Levin. They will explain it to you.
Remember something about this site. We are opinionated. And Politics is a tough subject to cover. But a 71 year old former POW and great American hero is old news. What the Republicans need is new blood. Not Huckabee. Not Ron Paul. But someone more in line with Romney. My choice left too early.
And that is my opinion.
P.S. Ski Wolf: Please get an Avatar. It is so easy and it makes your comments more personal.
Oh one more thing Mr. Wolf,
Taken from the article by Frank Rich of the NYT’s.
“Even so, Mr. McCain hasnโt yet won a clear majority of Republican voters in any G.O.P. contest. Heโs depended on the kindness of independent voters. Tuesdayโs Florida primary, which is open exclusively to Republicans, is his crucial test. If he fails, his party remains in chaos and Mitt Romney could still inherit the earth”.
And that is a good thing.
Hey Ski,
It was a joke, but I am one of those “motherly types” who worries about the health of the I-Man – and I think I posted it right here, not over on “the other site.” That may seem like selfless concern about the I-Man, but I assure you it is not. I don’t want to have to go through that major loss and depression-thing all over again that I endured for 8 months. It was not a good thing.
I have to explain all my jokes to my husband to…takes all the fun out of it ๐ฆ
I “second” Bruce on an avatar for you. With your moniker, you get come up with some good ones…
I meant to write “you could come up with some good ones…” Skiing or wolf themes – lots of material out there… again, selfish – we like pictures… ๐
Thanks Frec,
I like your Owl. Just changed mine to a No Hillary Avatar. But I believe we all know that is a bad thing anyway. Hillary that is. Clintons are old news.
Here is a good one Ski Wolf. Just Google Ski Wolf. Go to images and pick this one. It will default to the site and then right click and save it. It is already 13.3 kb’s. Crop it. and your done.
Take a look at it. Then get it.
Going back to my normal one in 30 minutes.
MMMM – still trying to digest all of the above, however, I will still not agree with most.
First of all , McCain is going to be the Repub nominee. Most have figured out that Romney is beyond a phony and not worthy of the mantle. Super tuesday will end it all for him.
I don’t listen to the strident likes of Limbaugh, Hannity and certainly not the certifiable Levin. I’m assuming you’re joking Bruce, by suggesting they can “explain” it to me.
I think the Frank Rich article makes very good sense and I hope that much of what he says comes to pass.
IMO.
PS —- my nic is from where I learned to ski — Wolf Creek which is a small ski area in southwestern Colorado. I have no interest in these little “avatar” things. Glad you all like them, but I don’t care about all that.
I am sorry for you Ski…… Romney nor McCain will beat a Democrat.
As far as Avatars that is optional. But encouraged.
Believe what you have to say is more appreciated at the Imus Truth site. Alice agrees with you. Why isn’t she here? HMMMMM. Fear comes to mind.
Oh Well.
Gets more interesting all the time and sadly funny. I think I’ll post “avatarless” wherever I want. But, gee thanks for all that helpful information about what is “encouraged”.
Mucho appreciado!
Hey Ski Feb5 is going to be really interesting. I don’t see how Rush and the other talkers take Hilary Clinton over John McCain. As the saying goes “Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face”! Those sayings have more truth in them then not.
In terms of McCain support,”ImusTimes” is a huge supporter of McCain, I’m sure your making him feel good…
Channel,
Your right. McCain was my choice before I found out more information. It is not who is what Imus says he is for. And Keith is a very important person when it comes to his opinion.
This election will be quite interesting. But first we must get through Super Tuesday. Then our opinions will change I am certain.
Ski…. Does this AVATAR look familiar?
Excellent points Channel and you’re right. After Tuesday Rush, et al will have to change their tune unless they just want to support HRC. I think McCain has a real chance against her, of course maybe it’s just becuase I like what Frank Rich had to say.
I think the funny problem for McCain is the immigration deal he put together whcih frankly I always thought made sense.
No way you’re going to kick out all who are here and he and others came up with a practical way to deal with it.
Unfortunately, the wack nuts on the far right, who have no alternative other than a knee jerk reaction had a problem with it. Like they’re going to throw everyone out — DUH!
My candidates of preference is heavily weighted to those who appear on Imus. Using this criteria McCain is a natural selection. IMO – Candidates refusing to appear on Imus are saying they are not interested in my issues….
ChanX:
You are correct about the February 5th primary. It’s all about the delegates. For Republicans…it’s pretty simple as to the rules.
As to the Democrats…their delegate positions are more fluid and harder to read at this point…
…but February 5th WILL be very crucial to both parties as they “tighten up”.
So let’s enjoy the Superbowl….and then await the outcome of February 5th….
…it’s like “2 Superbowls” in a weeks time….
An aside personal opinion:
1. Don’t count out Obama.
2. As a Michigander (Grrrr…I despise that moniker)…George Romney was a pretty Damn good Governor. As for his son Mitt?…wouldn’t by a used car from him.
3. It’s going to be a wild ride on Sunday, February 3rd…and an wild ride on Tuesday, February 5th.
One MORE personal opinion and decision I have come to (although my wife will kill me…LOL) …
If it comes down to McCain and Obama…I’m going for Obama.
If it comes to McCain and Hillary…I will go with McCain. (That’s where my wife and I cancel out our votes…LOL).
Donald,
You took the words right out of my mouth. Though I am not sure about Mitt Romney being a risk. Or not trusting him.
Niether are my picks. But when it comes to Hillary I don’t care who is running against her, I am voting for that person.
Now I am back to Normal…. Thank God.
Donald I “think” I’m there as well. I could vote for Obama in a heart beat although I believe the Clinton Machine From Hell will preclude that.
Well, Skiwolf….
Your comment about “The Clinton Machine From Hell” is an apt analysis. There is NOTHING the Clintons WON’T do to get their way.
I do still cling to hope, that voters out in the USA have had enough of them…and will turn against them. My personal take…and my wife agrees…that we will see MORE of the old Democratic stalwarts endorsing Obama… because of the tactics being used so far by them…and the affect on the “end game”…the regaining of the White House in the final election.
The other point is the 800 “Super Delegates” that are a part of the Democratic party and Congressmen…etc. that are up for grabs.
To win THOSE? $$$$$$. Promise them anything. It is despicable that the electorate doesn’t hold all of them to the way their states vote…and the majority of the delegates that have been won by each candidate.
So…the “fix” may already be in, in that regaurd.
Here is a link to a Reuters story, by John Whiteside on the delegate info…

Tonight’s debate: From Reuters (and CNN)…will be a crucial one: Hillary and Obama:
” LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) — Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will duel for Super Tuesday votes Thursday night as the Democratic presidential hopefuls face off for the first time together minus former Sen. John Edwards.
Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama return Thursday after a bitter showdown in the South Carolina debate.
The debate — sponsored by CNN, the Los Angeles Times and Politico — starts at 8 p.m. ET Thursday on CNN and CNN.com. CNN’s Wolf Blitzer is the moderator.
The event is the first Democratic debate since Obama’s convincing victory Saturday in South Carolina. On Tuesday, Clinton won the Florida primary, a contest her campaign said helped the senator regain momentum even though it awarded no delegates.
The forum at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood comes hours after the Obama campaign revealed it had raised $32 million in January from roughly 170,000 new donors. That amount will allow Obama to expand his television ad buys greatly in the 20-plus states holding primaries or caucuses Tuesday.”
I really don’t know who I am going to vote for, I know one I won’t vote for.
My husband said he thought this below, would be good, he thinks the younger the canidate, the faster you change the status quo. He doesn’t vote from Fear so Change option doesn’t scare him.
Obama – Younger then the Baby Boomers
Romney – Rainmaker only Governor left in the race
The Media is pushing this match up
Clinton – Dynasty
McCain – Older then the Baby Boomers
I wonder what the reality is of who is really leading? The Media is no doubt skewing the coverage. For their desired outcome.
I want to hear what Matt Taibbi has to say after tonights debate. After I read “The New Nixon” it is obvious he is not going to sugar coat anything, he just lays it bear, just the way I like it ๐
Laree,
Good for your hubby! My thoughts went in that direction earlier this week – say NO to FEAR (False Expectations Appearing Real). The sun will rise the day after the inauguration no matter who lays their hand on the Bible. No matter what happens, we’re going to be okay. There is a Supreme Being who has it under control.
Our state primary is Tuesday. I haven’t made up my mind yet, though I can only vote for a Democrat since that’s how I am registered. I thought about staying home, but that would shame me more than voting for “the wrong person.” I bought Obama’s book and I will read it this weekend since he is the only one I really don’t know very much about. Furthermore, I want to know more about Michelle Obama…she is the one who concerns me…her influence will be huge. Except for Mika, what other interviews has she given?
As an American, I have a heart tug to see America with a woman or a Black American in the top office. However, there is no way in this wide world that I could vote for satin in sheep’s clothing. Then, though I think Obama has a gift in oratory, I can’t truly go along with his politics. The Republican in me, that has conservative fiscal tendencies and tend towards more liberal social proclivities does not find a home with the heart tug. McCain is probably my choice, if in fact he is the Rep choice, though I don’t love his formal package. I like him in the more informal setting, that you may have seen when he can be not so staged. I just wish he wouldn’t turn every comment to a reference to the war. Oh well, is anyone perfect? The end package will probably make a difference, when we see who the VP will be. It can’t go unsaid for me though and I never thought a spouse was that important, but I can’t even imagine that despicable Bill hanging around again! This is certainly one of the most fun elections I’ve seen and they have been many. The internet is a big plus, too! Thanks to all.

Frec, Waterpaint,
My husband pointed out we have checks and balances so the President has to work with a congress and a judiciary. He isn’t that concerned about the Presidency, it isn’t a coronation.
I know the Nov 2006 election was spinned alot of different ways. My brother in law who has had a tour in both Iraq and Afghanistan wanted the Legislature to tip in Nov 2006 not because he is a Democrat but as a military person he could see there was no accountability. The Military wanted the law makers to be held accountable, and low and behold Rummy finally got pushed out. I know the Dems claim it was a mandate to end the war which didn’t happen but if you look it was a stalemate just enough Democrats to keep the Republicans in check…what is the real message from Nov 2006 election Americans don’t trust the Politicians, and I think the ratings for this Congress back it up.
I am interested in the legislators we will add to or subtact from the senate and the house. Hillary Clinton would have a difficult time with a Repubilcan controlled Legislature. I don’t know if that would be the case for McCain? That is if either gets elected in Nov 2008.
The Conservatives would be energized by a Hillary Clinton nomination, right now McCain is referred to as a RINO he doesn’t want the Conservatives to stay home. I was listening to Peggy Noonan, I can’t remember which channel maybe Fox and she was stating that the Republicans will either loose in Nov 2008 and then go back to the drawing board like they do or they will get it together before the election and go back to their base. Peggy Noonan was clear if the Republicans ignore the Conservative base, they will loose, the Conservatives have no problem with tough love ๐ One of the selling points of McCain is, he crosses over and gets past partisan differences and gets cooperation. Many Conservatives don’t like McCain for that very reason. I don’t think he can get elected on just the Independent vote.
I am an Independent, from my previous post you can see I don’t like to throw my vote away, I don’t “Protest Vote” I am in wait and see mode.
This is what McCain is up against if you look at ImusPipes Mash, Ann Coulter declares if McCain gets the nomination she will campaign for Hillary.
McCain needs to reassure the base! Does he know that he has lit a grass fire? Get RID Of Juan Hernandez!!

In addition to the checks and balance is the concept within US Governance regarding the respect for states and minority rights. Most bewildering are proposals to remove such safeguards as the electoral college as well as the Senates Filibuster and Cloture rules.
Ree, As your husband correctly pointed out its not a coronation.
