Citizen journalist Faye Anderson is another example of someone who takes Media Matters’ viewpoint as gospel. She writes in a recent post:
Fortunately, Media Matters monitors “Imus in the Morning.” So, I don’t have to start my day with morning sickness.
Setting aside Media Matters’ everlasting insistence on taking satirical comedy out of its comedic context, the fact that millions of fans love the show doesn’t seem to affect Faye Anderson. It’s all about making the same old point with the de rigueur lazy and symbolic use of Imus as a vessel for all things wrong in this sexist world. Of course the implication is that the I-Nation is just a bunch of knuckle-dragging sexist men who are going to go home and disrespect their wives after listening to another episode of “Imus in the Morning.” Forget all you legions of lady fans of the I-Man. The kids get to play violent video games and hip-hop is still a free-speech zone, but this skit is “a new low” in Faye Anderson’s distorted and hypocritical world.
The idea that Imus’ audience gets the joke, that the show is built on an ironic perspective, doesn’t enter their minds. Why? Because they’re not that smart, can’t imagine we are any smarter, and even worse, believe they are the enlightened ones! It’s a pretty twisted situation, which is why the warning at the end of the above video regarding self-righteousness really clicks.
I’m sure if the situation involved a comedian they like making fun of a politician they don’t like, it wouldn’t be a problem at all, let alone “a new low.”
Media Matters, and the masses of hateful, self-righteous people who follow their efforts actually think they did a good thing when they got Imus off the air in April ’07. Don’t they understand the social damage caused by these actions? Don’t they understand the perspective-warping effect caused by Media Matters’ out-of-context clips? These people have no idea what IITM is actually like. The fact that Anderson takes pride in the fact that she doesn’t even watch the show, yet has no problem hating on it, is a picture-perfect snapshot of how people like her have no respect for her fellow citizens(the I-Nation) and our right to listen to whatever we choose to hear.
In what seems like an obvious case of not getting the joke, the Media Matters entry and Faye’s blog post at Anderson@Large go on to quote that silly skit from a few days back where “Billy Clayton” told his daughter “Kelsey Clayton” to have sex with super-delegates to get them to vote for “New York Senator Hailey Clayton” for president. The tone of the Media Matters post gives the sense that they think they’re so clever for seeing through Imus’ name-changing trickery to some great evil being done to Chelsea and the Clintons. The transcript Media Matters has typed out, taking it seriously as it goes back and forth between “Billy”, “Borat”, and “Kelsey”, makes them seem insane. If Media Matters wasn’t so serious and influential, it might be funny—or at least pitiful. After David Shuster (a real journalist) said the Clinton campaign had “pimped out” Chelsea to support Hillary in the super-delegate battle, it makes perfect sense that IITM (a comedy show) would put together an exaggerated take on the same angle.
It was a decently humorous bit actually, and if I was voting for Senator Clinton in real life it would not have affected that decision in the slightest.
The skit also mentioned “this pineapple-eatin’ [Borat] Ohana”, very gently poking fun at Barack Obama’s Hawaiian birthplace.
[UPDATE: And in news related to the other free-speech limiting faction active in the world today, here’s some news on one of the Danish cartoonists who drew pictures of Mohammed: He’s been kicked out of his police-protected hotel room because he is too much of a security risk. I wonder where Al Sharpton would come down on this issue, if push came to shove?]
It’s outrageous that the git Anderson & others of her ilk are clueless about Imus. The don’t ‘get it’ even as they didn’t ‘get it’ by tuning in to the program. Sheesh! What a hoot! Anderson is a git/twit.
You know what I find funny. This Anderson person just became a blogger in February of this year.
She said nothing original at all. She received my response and I see nothing more on her.
She must be pregnant thus the words on morning sickness. If you ask me she is a MMFA shill. And just parrots what they say and so many others have said.
Much like the report from the producer of the CBS show “Big Brother’s” producer. Blaming Imus on Autism awareness. But the last thing Imus would do is call these unfortunate Children “Retards”.
As the You Tube video says. “Just Words”.
“If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear”. George Orwell
Oh come on, this Anderson twit is nothing more than a so called “citizen journalist” looking for attention. She has accomplished nothing, done nothing and all of her credentials are online BS.
Most amuzing is the section on her site on how to book her for speeches. The good and the bad of the internet. You don’t actually have to be anything or done anything to on occasion get noticed.
Frankly, I’m sorry she got “noticed” by this site. People like her are not worth the black ink on white screen and all the mad typing that ensues, including mine.
A couple of weeks ago, I watched a woman from some latino organization [La Raz (?) ..I’m sorry I don’t remember her name] “debate” Lou Dobbs about the supposed racist content of his program. It was, and he was racist, in her opinion, because of his stance against illegal aliens (I won’t even use the word immigration here). Her intent was to get Lou fired from CNN. She was very upfront about that. What I watched that evening really wasn’t a debate. Lou Dobbs invited her on his program so she could confront him face-to-face and he could respond to her charges against him. This woman refused to stop talking (shouting, really) long enough for Mr. Dobbs to respond to anything she said. It was nothing more than a diatribe filled with loose facts, misinformation and vitriol.
The first time I commented on the MMFA site about Don Imus (in Apr ’07) I made reference to George Orwell’s Big Brother. The response I got to that from MMFA posters was I didn’t know what I was talking about; “Big Brother, everybody knows, was about GOVERNMENT intrusion in our privacy. And we NEED a group like MMFA to monitor “right-wing hate speech”. How else are we going to be able TO CONTROL IT?”
This is pretty chilling stuff …don’t you think? Fascism has slowly crept and slithered it’s way to the left. Much worse than that proverbial “wolf in sheep’s clothing”.
About that “Government Intrusion” thing. I think they want to be the government …and you can forget that stuff about elections and a loyal opposition …we won’t be needing those things anymore …will we?
Thanks Mike,
Your opinions are noted
Mike08: I saw that show with Lou Dobbs & that shrill Latina shill who argued that illegals should be ok within the Legal framework of our Immigration laws. DUH! What a GIT.
Faye Anderson is an example of bloggers who are spoon fed their outrage by MMFA. Without the inclination to analyze the Imus appearance herself, MMFA becomes her crutch.
Anderson in a simplistic accusatory statement “The Scarlet Knights must be red face that another accomplished young woman, Chelsea Clinton, is the target of Imus’ demeaning sexist “comedy.””. Totally Missing the point -Chelsea is not the target of the comedy. In fact the satire is based on a literal interpretation of the Clintons complaint to MSNBC!
Hillary Clinton totally changed the context and meaning of Shuster’s “Pimped Out”. The IITM performance accurately depicted the Hillary context. In this case the outrage is misdirected at Imus, after all this is HRC’s creation….
So I went and checked out Ms Anderson’s Bio seems that she has a JD from Stanford Law School, a BA in Political Science from the City College of New York.
Additionally she has been a frequent guest on “Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher.” My TV appearances also include: “BET Tonight,” “Lead Story,” “Inside Politics,” “TalkBack Live,” “The O’Reilly Factor,” “Hannity & Colmes,” C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal,” and PBS’ “To the Contrary” and “America’s Black Forum.” her radio appearances include National Public Radio’s “Talk of the Nation” and “Tell Me More.”
I’d say Ms. Anderson is mainstream…
ChanX:
“I’d say Ms. Anderson is mainstream…”
I’d say you were kidding… 😉
Let us all say…. MEDIA MATTERS FOR AMERICA….DOESN’T MATTER……TO PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN FREE SPEECH……NOR THOSE THAT ALWAYS LEAN LEFT.
Sorry for the Caps but that is the only way we or I can come up with a pledge.
Maybe we can all come up with one.
And no, I am not disparaging Democrats. All Democrats are not left wingers. And all Republicans are not Right Wingers.
It is like saying that all African Americans or Hispanics are Criminals. And all Caucasians are racist.
David Brock should get his stuff together and forget this witch hunt. “Ding Dong the Witch is ALMOST dead”. LOL
And her little Wiener husband too. They killed Bill…”Those Bastards”. Ha!
No one has a problem a problem with fcsism provided they’re the “fascist in charge”
“MEDIA MATTERS FOR AMERICA….DOESN’T MATTER……TO PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN FREE SPEECH ”
Bruce …if I understand your words correctly, I have to disagree.
MMFA should matter “to people who believe in free speech”. They attack it every day. They very much try to take that right away from you and me. As implied in the topic of this thread; they think they’re better than us. They want to call the shots. Doesn’t matter what side of the aisle that kind of calculating cynicism sits on …it’s malicious and dangerous and not to be taken lightly.
Otto Bismarck said “the end justifies the means” …does it? I bet Hillary and Mr. Brock think so.
Fortunately, I don’t read “Media Matters” so I don’t have to start my day with morning BS.
It was a funny skit…I’m just wondering why these people aren’t playing on the freeway.
qp
Mike08: Sorry – but I believe it was Machiavelli who said in ‘The Prince’ ~ that ‘the end justifies the means’. Machiavelli also asked the quesion ‘Is it better for a ruler to be loved than to be feared?’
Machiavelli it is ..I stand corrected.
What a good sport you are Mike08! Tip of my hat to ya!
You can’t change or deny the truth STDoms …even though some try.
Below is an excerpt from a column in today’s NY Times by Maureen Dowd. LOL funny stuff about the Clintonistas.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/20/opinion/20dowd.html?hp
“The Clintons are known political cat burglars. They pilfered Republican jewels in the ’90s, and Hillary has purloined as much as she can stuff in her pantsuit from her husband and Barack Obama.
She changed to Change. She co-opted “It’s time to turn the page” and “Fired up and ready to go.” She couldn’t wait to shoplift the words “yes” and “can” from Obama’s trademark “Yes, we can!” — (which he appropriated from Cesar Chavez) — even though she was cagey enough to put them in separate slogans, “Yes, we will!” and “Americans still have that can-do spirit.”
What does mmmmmmmmmmm……. mean?

EXPLAIN
Mike,
You read my statement wrong regarding Media Matters.
For us that know why Imus is funny is because he tells the listeners the truth. And also uses the freedom of speech to say his views on all things. Also he does it in a humorous way.
If you haven’t followed MMFA since April of 07 when Imus said the infamous NHH statement then you don’t know what your talking about.
MMFA attacks anyone who goes after liberal thinking. 90 percent of Democrats are Liberals. That is why David Brock started this in 2004 with the seed money of George Sorros and backed by Hillary “Rotten” Clinton. To protect her ass.
This time Imus doesn’t go over the line, but is still reported by MMFA as if he is a criminal. We don’t care about them anylonger.
Did you ever hear of making a Mountain out of a Mole Hill. That is what MMFA does. The April case regarding the Rutgers basketball team was too close for it to be let go. Though not a fireable offense.
McCain says report on lobbyist not true
TOLEDO, Ohio – John McCain denied a romantic relationship with a female telecommunications lobbyist and said a report by The New York Times suggesting favoritism for her clients is “not true.”
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080221/ap_on_el_pr/mccain_lobbyist
99% of the time I like to make fun of conspiracy theorists. However, the stuff I’m starting to see about Bubba C. purposely subverting HRC’s campaign has tweaked my interest.
Does kind of make sense. Say what you will about Bubba C, the guy is really smart, quick, good on his feet and a very good actor. Now that I think about it, it is hard to see how he could make some of the blunders about race, etc. that he has.
Unlesss……he did it on purpose???????
Ski,
I read about that somewhere. Could have been on this site. But possibly BJ Clinton wants his Hillary to fail.
However, it seems unlikely they would go through this to destroy their power.
It is a provocative thought though.
I have heard pundits state that all the people around Bill Clinton are being punished for their proximity to him. Al Gore now Hillary Clinton. I would not repeat not count the Clintons out, the fat lady has not sung yet.
I don’t think they were behind the John McCain event, printed in the NYT. The Times acting like an arm of the Dems campaigns, independently deciding to make moves on their own. I think it will backfire unless they want to make McCain look more sympathetic to the base. Remember this is a “Purity Test” they introduced for McCain, and now that they let that Cat out of the Bag, the Right will start perfoming their own “Purity Test” in whatever form that takes on Obama and H Clinton. Tit for Tat and people will decide from the results of who held up the best. Bill Clinton went through a Purity Test, does the NYT’S have such a short memory? The NYT doesn’t think people will remember Bill Clinton, going through this type of Moral Hazing. I remember,I seriously doubt I am the only one. I will compare the Clintons to John McCain. That is the draw back of selling yourself as a twofer, you will be judged as a twofer. Bill Clinton has baggage…this attack on McCain from the NYT, reminded me of going through this similar cycle with Bill Clinton, then President Bill Clinton. The timing of publishing this article on McCain is off too.
The timing of the NYT McCain story is way off. This story is old news, left over from 2000. McCain handled it well this AM. Was glad Imus went with the 9AM presser..
I can’t imagine Bill not wanting another few years in the White House, but maybe actually being president is his pride over Hillary and he doesn’t want to share that accomplishment with her.
In any event, I doubt anything he says or does is by accident. It just seems as though nothing is working. Maybe she should cry again.
Agree with X. Timing is strange to say the least. Very strange. Will take a bit I think to see what the deal is about that.
Oh X….Forgot to mention you were right about this Anderson Creature. Not sure what the hell I was looking at when I posted my comment. I guess I just have a knee jerk reaction to people like that.
The Clinton Campaign was not contesting Wisconsin up till the last minute. Then they jumped in. Texas and Ohio are better situations for her with stronger organization. This would be the time for a Clinton comeback….
James Carville commenting back in 1998 about future canidates having to pass the Purity Test.
http://www.sddt.com/News/article.cfm?SourceCode=n9802241c
TNR was pushing NYT to print something, with anonymous sources, I think that is the reason for the poor timing they didn’t want to go with story without a face to attach it to, you know someone who would repeat this story with a eyes, nose a mouth…not just spinning an old rumor about John McCain.
TNR – The New Republic, was in trouble all last summer for publishing the Shock Troop Diarys of Scott Thomas Beauchamp, Blogging- Sir Real Scott Thomas, they printed whatever he sent, without sourcing any of the material Franklin Foer was in charge of that debacle. I would not be taking cues from the TNR if I was the NYT. The problem with this article on John McCain above the fold! is that it is Rumor,Inuendo and Gossip. Facts trump Speculation. This is the sleazy stuff TNR was doing last summer. They apparently don’t like to fact check, they are lazy or something. All of Sir Real Scott Thomas’s internet writings have been taken down. I know I looked, he had this terrible purple prose style, that you couldn’t stop reading. Sir Real Scott’s writing was unintentionally really funny, and thanks to TNR and Franklin Foer, he became really infamous 🙂
Speaking of irresponsible individuals, Don Imus truly exemplifies the harm in individual free speech. His “nappy-headed hos” comment was the deranged thinking of one sexist, racist individual (he didn’t say “No Offense” after “hos”, so it’s offensive). His attitude, obviously not reflected by American society on a whole, nevertheless will surely be adopted by the listeners of his radio show, and then passed onto their neighbors, and the neighbors of the neighbors, and ignorant blog readers, and stupid, mindless T.V. show listeners, and so on and so forth. Thus, Imus will transform Americans into bigots, because we weren’t racist and sexist in the first place. And all that media uproar following his comment? No matter that the media tried to bring focus to and address those grievances, because, as I said earlier, the U.S. was a glorious society and didn’t need fixing before Don Imus came onto the scene.
http://sunburntmirth.wordpress.com/2008/02/21/ridiculousness-you-bet/
ENJOY!
The Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend, this just might rally the conservative base, around John McCain, they can’t stand the way the NYT sets their standards for reporting, then ignores those same standards.
http://michellemalkin.com/2008/02/21/snort-worthy-nytimes-quote-of-the-day/
laree, could not agree more. I don’t usually listen to the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity, etc. However, just coming back from a meeting I turned on Hannity and man that boy is pissed off to say the least. To your point, this just might get the repub base behind McCain.
I agree skiwolf, I used to HATE Sean Hannity, but now he’s not so bad anymore.
There are many interesting posts since earlier this morning regarding these posters (Bloggers) reporting on the Imus situation. I must read each one and talk about them later as I have entered another project which I am now going to present to you.
Harley mentions Sean Hannity. He is a right winger but more moderate then most. Mark Levin is a very big right winger and was on the bandwagon with Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity regarding John McCain’s tendency to act like a Democrat while being a Republican.
Last night I caught and recorded the second 15 minutes of his program which discussed how McCain can defeat Obama, assuming he does become the nominee. He is not for any Democrat getting into the White House again nor would he want Hillary Clinton at all in. But since the tide has turned on Hillary he is now going with the obvious Republican front runner and eventual nominee for President and how he can defeat the Obama.
Here is a 9:40 You Tube Presentation on that segment. Very interesting. Some of the editing was done by me. But it was not cut from start to finish on this particular segment.
Regarding the McCain story….
The timing is strange, to say the least. From what I have garnered, the New York Times had this story, and it was being circulated by journalists behind the scenes as far back as December ’07.
The claim is: that they (The N.Y.T.) wanted to thoroughly “vet” the story before running it.
The main jest of the story, at least to me, was John McCain’s self promotion as an “anti lobbyist” influenced” Senator. Forget the “romantic link” aspect…the real story is the lobbyist connection.
Just my opinion.
For those keeping abreast of the latest…Obama and “Satan” debate tonight at 8pm Eastern time on CNN.
…it might very well get ugly tonight….
Ok we need a Debra Dickerson thread.
That interview was classic Imus. He was beyond his usual brilliant self IMO. That was really good stuff!
Surprised there have’nt been any comments.
My response to the ignoramous that Harley posted at 3:30 PM today.
“Are you crazy? This is what you say about Don Imus
Speaking of irresponsible individuals, Don Imus truly exemplifies the harm in individual free speech. His “nappy-headed hos” comment was the deranged thinking of one sexist, racist individual (he didn’t say “No Offense” after “hos”, so it’s offensive).
DON IMUS IS NOT A RACIST. DO YOU GET IT. You have been drinking your Kool-Aid again from MMFA and the Al Sharpton’s of the World.
Get over it. Imus is back and will stay this time no matter what you say or any other ignoramous in the blogosphere.”
It is awaiting moderation. So what. He got the message. What a Moron
Pretty good Hillary post(MUST read connection to the bad guys in Orwell’s 1984):
http://standupformccain.com/2008/02/hillary-clinton-and-orwell.html
Pretty good Obama post(MUST watch video):
http://standupformccain.com/2008/02/icymi-obamas-lines.html
Second, Don Imus is racist. Even if he’s just joking, as the Imus Times post that referred you to this post says, he’s being racist (and sexist). It’s never funny to joke about things like that, and call people derogatory and pejorative names.
————————————————————————-
Don’t worry about folks like this. I wonder what they DO find entertaining. Wow……..
Harley Please,
Were these the words of the bloggers or yours? And worry about posters like these????
I don’t worry I react. You know me for a long time. Or it seems a long time. And I am never one to sit back and listen to a moron talk about something they don’t even know about first hand.
As my presentation regarding how to fight Obama by McCain stated. Our Nation (The U.S.) does have a 20% illiteracy rate. Not acceptable in my book. So if the illiterate Vote (Which is their right) for something they don’t quite understand or even verbalize in a coherent fashion then we are doomed to fail as a Nation.
And Mark Levin’s views are not mine. I may very well vote for Obama for a principle that he represents. The change he speaks of is getting rid of the old school politicians. That includes the McCain’s, Clinton’s and any of a number of the original candidates.
ImusTimes (Keith) is a Hillary supporter. But I am not.
Her run for the Presidency is more for her Husband’s desire to have a third term. And a liar like William Jefferson Clinton is not what we need in these harsh times we are living in today.
HQ92, can you start using the BLOCKQUOTE tag to set out other people’s quotes? I keep thinking someone has taken over your brain. ChanX, didn’t you have a way to put instructions on this into a comment post?
Bruce, correction, I am supporting McCain, but prefer Hillary over Obama because she has actually been serious on our post-9/11 response whenever push came to shove.
Skiwolf,
ChanX said he’s working on a thread for the Debra Dickerson. I’ve been hanging on waiting for it…in the meantime, I will say that the conversation yesterday (replayed today) restored my true heart that Al-Sharp-Man almost robbed. I won’t let him have that much power over me again.
The message I heard (in part) is this: focus less on “who is against me,” and more on “I can be for myself.”
My apologies to you Keith. Must have mis-interpreted what you stated.
So you are in the same class as I am. I will Vote McCain vs Hillary at all costs, but may change to Obama if I feel McCain is too weak on the issues of our Nation.
And yes ChanX has given instructions on Block Quotes. Again I have not taken the time to review my knowledge of HTML and XHTML.
Those are NOT my thoughts. They came from that other blog. I haven’t figured out those quote thingies. 😦
Hillary is mentioning the Intrepid Center in her closing speech at the Democratic debate. Hope Imus takes notice of this tomorrow.
That was the only good thing I’ve heard coming out of her mouth.
“One more cow jumped over the moon.”
Kinda ironic that she would talk about that, being that Imus was there and promoted the HELL out of it on his show!
Anyway, I found this:
http://www.newsday.com/sports/ny-spmedia0222,0,81329.column
ENJOY
Sure they are confused…Imus has become a panty wering, GOP water carrying, mummified, punk.
Now it turns out that after years of attacking Bill Cliton for “Getting a BJ”, (something Imus hasn’t gotten in about 30 years) it turns out his boy McCain is doing the same thing with one of his staffers. What a disgrace to america…both McCain and Imus.
We all love you D79. Please educate us. You are so well informed and your spell checker works so well.
Look forward to your next episode in “As the NUTS Turn”
These were ChanX’s instructions on “the quote thingy.” I have to admit it’s over the head of this “trained monkey” too 😦
on January 13, 2008 at 2:03 pm10 channelXRFR
Harley – Its called html tags, the tag for the quotey thing is “blockquote”. You place blockquote at the begining of the quote and /blockquote at the end of the quote don’t forget to place it between arrows
Here is an example of how to use the blockquote tag:
http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_blockquote.asp
Placing a “b” before a word and a” /b” at the end will bold the word(s). The slash indicates the end of the bold.
And don’t forget the arrows
on January 13, 2008 at 2:45 pm12 channelXRFR
bruce. you need to place the HTML Tag blockquote between the arrows … to start the quote and the HTML Tag /blockqoute to end the quote…
Devin 79 if you hate Imus SO MUCH THEN why ON EARTH DO YOU COME HERE? Do you get off on being a troll?
Harley said:
ENJOY
Harley, you genius you! How did you figure that out so quick?
There’s a section on that site where you can type and test it out.
😦
cool, HQ92 figured out the blockquote thing. I’m like “noooo, she’s turned against us!” until I figured out what was happening. I thought for a second maybe someone was spoofing your name or something.
Frec, you basically use this code in your comment entry:
<BLOCKQUOTE>
put what you want quoted inside these tags.
</BLOCKQUOTE>
How’s that Keith?
Loved Karith’s Dog Show piece.
Bruce -“As the Nuts Turn” – LOL great!
http://lktorion.wordpress.com/2008/02/22/imus-other-racism/#comment-9
What is this nut talking about?
Kinky on next week! YAY!
I step away and look what happens – blockquotes bloom! Can spring be far behind?
Frec, Try this. Copy Imustimes #58 and then paste into the Reply Box! Will demonstrate how blockquote works.
Better yet ChannelX.
Copy the Block Quote line. Make a text file on your desktop and paste that in there and save it.
Next time you have a quote. Go to that text folder. Highlight the example text and hit delete button. Paste what you want in there from whatever source, copy the whole thing, exit out without saving.
Then paste it here.
Worked for me.
So we’ve turned this into “Block (quote) History Month?
It’s the Mr. Wizard HTML class for us forgetful program experts. HA HA!!!!!
Nothing like the ctrl “C” and ctrl “V” method. Works everytime.
Now I have to learn Bold characters.
Hee, hee PT! 🙂 Don’t make that joke over on Imus Truth. The PC Police is over there!
OMG Harley,
How do you do it? That place is like a fun house with all kinds of opinions.
Lately with a few exceptions it has been balanced. IMHO
Bruce be careful, you’re pretty bold already.
New Post up,
(ChanXor I-Times can you teach me how to embed video, audio, or pics?)
Pretty Bold you say PTB? I think I have been pretty mild.
Will go to the new thread now. But thanks for the scolding. LOL
Harley,
I was wondering if you had a split personality or something.. LOL
The block quote info is very helpful. HTML has always amazed me that it actually works!
I guess if the html can’t be figured out, one can always just type..so and so said, then type quotes before it or ***’s or dashes or whatever…just something so that we can tell whose mind is doing the thinking.. LOL
