I’ll post one here for Deirdre’s sake. I’m glad she is getting around to places like The View, GMA, etc. where non-Imus people can get a chance to see and hear her. She is a good ambassador for her husband to the “real world.” Of course, I think the I-World IS the real world, and it’s others who eat lunch in the Restaurant at the End of the Universe.
Speaking of other galaxies, since getting on to this WABC stream, I’ve gotten hooked on “Coast to Coast” for nights when I can’t sleep…very intriguiging show…then again, I’ve always been a bit in the twilight zone myself.
Even so, I haven’t posted on “that weird MSNBC” site, DJJack, because I lack patience or tolerance for enrolling for a “passport.” I like to peruse it, for rumors, however. It reminds me of “an employee lunch room.” Insider grousing, and some occasional worthwhile information.
Ginger, I recommend Deirdre’s first book as the place to start greening your cleaning. It’s a easy read and a good reference. One step at a time, one day at a time. Ding-ding! Did anyone else catch it when Imus explained how the AA program works?…not by telling others what to do, but suggesting by telling what worked for you. Love that.
Check out Craig Crawford’s blog today…he’s got Part 2 of his Imus interview of last Thursday. I love seeing the set…Propped up in Craig’s yard next to his tulips is the portrait of Imus painted by the lady in Panama City. Why she painted three cows there is a mystery that Craig and Imus mused about last time…but now that I can see it myself, I would guess it’s about creating symetry. Craig tried to palm the painting off on Imus a few weeks back, but Imus said no thanks, you keep it. Craig plans to take it “on tour” to be photographed at places such as the White House…
P.S. May I suggest Craig’s blog be listed on the blog roll? Imus-related threads and postings show up there frequently – it appears there are Imus fans (and detractors) on that site who may not post elsewhere (i.e., the “Imus sites.)
Speaking of “Coast Coast”, I found this at the NY Radio Msg Board…
In addition to the three posthumous inductions, a winner in each of the four categories below will be determined through a national online balloting process beginning May 1st: …
…National – Pioneer:
Art Bell, longtime host of the paranormal-themed radio program Coast to Coast AM distributed by Premiere Radio Networks.
Ralph Emery, a country music icon, Emery began his career as the late-night disc jockey on country music’s flagship WSM/Nashville.
“Gang Busters”, law enforcement reality series created by Phillips Lord and hosted by Col. H. Norman Schwarzkopf that aired on NBC, ABC, CBS and Mutual.
Barry Farber, known for his Southern drawl, intensity, and conservative views, he began his on-air career in New York in 1960 and later a national host on ABC.
Hey Bruce…that video was a good catch…but I would’ve thought NOW would get their own name right ‘cuz they’re the National Organization FOR Women…hee hee.
Tomorrow is Earth Day…I will be out there in the morning marking it at a commemoration for a good friend of mine (an “Earth Mama”) who passed away on January 10, 2008. Peggy, this Earth Day is for you. I will plant a tree in your memory. I hope the weather is as beautiful as it is today.
Deirdre on “The View” tomorrow…I hope someone will record it ‘cuz I’d love to stay home and see her with Barbara and the gang, but I can’t. Imus said he “likes Whoopi.” He didn’t seem as like-able toward the one whose name he couldn’t remember…he seemed to be referring to Elizabeth. That’s a real kick in the teeth…did either one have them have anything to say during the hoo-ha last year? I don’t remember.
Yipee for newest thread – thanks! I will let this “Green Kids” one alone soon…I just wanted to help keep the Deirdre thread going for a little bit to maybe lend a hand to her book… it’s all good, and I’ll take Deirdre’s lessons over Martha Stewart’s any day!
