FOX’ Alexis Glick, Tracking The Financial Crisis
Imus speaking with Alexis Glick covers: Fox Business Network, Financial Crisis, oil prices, football
Alexis reveals she’s an Irish girl! Her maiden name is “Alexis Cahill Donnelly” who grew up in New York City describes herself as a workaholic and a big sports fan. Giants-Yankees are her teams although her husband is a Jets-Mets fan. (So she has to tone it down form time to time.) She is also a Boxing fan!
Alexis Glick frustrated with congressional “monday morning quarterbacking” describes Alan Greenspan as a guy who spent 18 years at the Fed who had interest rates at 1%. She strongly disagreed with how the media portrayal focusing on words he used like “mistake”, “flaws in the system” and “over eager investors in subprime mortgages”. Her opinion? Greenspan did not take any major responsiblity for the situation and the media has completely over blown the testimony.
Still Imus is calling for a perp walk, stating he would liked to see Bo Dietl or someone slap some handcuffs on Greenspan and haul him out there.
Imus expresses concern about the segment of his audience who work on Wall Street, inquiring as to the mood on the floor?
Alexis Glick: We have been through a lot of scenarios Long Term Capital, Dot Com Bubble etc. Guys who have been here for 40 years or more say it’s not like ’87 its more like the early ’70s. There is not a sense of panic but a sense of when are we going to get through this and what is the catylst to get us out?
