Imus’ official website includes synopses of guest appearances written by Juile, Blogs by Rob, Karith and Tony, Chuck’s headlines, with information on the Imus Ranch, and a contact page to reach the show.
“www.imus.com” overall a net gain to the I-Web.
Also, note this recent addition to the I-Web. With kudos to Ree who smartly provides a listener perspective.

I signed up! Thanks for the nod.
Nice thing about that website is it has lots of opportunity for improvement. Boy is that lame. Wow!
Sent my first “show message”. FIRE KARITH. Wonder if I’ll hear back. Sort of doubt it.
ChannelX,
Fox News, has a copy of last nights interview on Hannity here.

Excellent ThanX Ree
“Fire Karith!”
Yeah. That’s a good place to start!
Hey thanks Ree. I had it recorded but had not yet watched it. Imus was great. That’s the most animated I’ve seen him in any interview. Good stuff. Look forward to tonight.
Now if he can just fix that awful website……….. LOL!
Your Welcome Skiwolf,
Now that they have the website up, they need to add some video clips, and maybe have a “Contest” That draws folks- Page “Hits” Radio TV., and Online. The Website has possibilities if they put up a comment section it would take a full time webmaster- moderator.
In the car for a minute. Bernie just subbed for Barnicle who was subbing for Scarborough. Kind of interesting. Sounds great although I thought he and Mika were going to jump each others bones for a minute there. Pretty funny.
Just in case we forgot the twisted Anti-Imus logic that runs amok NewsHounds goes on the attack complete with embedded false charges;
Regarding the cost of the Imus Ranch, “Just because children are at a cattle ranch it doesn’t mean they have to be treated like cattle.” ChanX
The old Imus on air page is now the new Imus website, there are some on Imus Truth commenting, how do they listen to Imus now if they miss him on 77WABC? I wonder if they could add the old page “Imus On Air” to the new website?
Lots of folks like Rob’s Bin Laden the Musical.
From the Hannity interview…
“DI: In an ideal world, yes. But my opinion about all that changed when I went and talked to the team… the (Rutgers) girls… Well, they didn’t think it was funny… They couldn’t understand why I’d picked them… The point was, what it meant to them and that completely changed my mind about how it should be accepted… As I sit here today, I would rather it had not happened but I think what happened – my getting fired and all of that – was probably what should have happened.”
How many times has Imus stated this? When Imus returned over a year ago, and gave that first speech, he stated the same… he took personal responsibility for his actions. Some fans, have not come to that realization yet.
I’ll stand with Imus. He took responsibility, and came back with a different view on “how” issues should be discussed. He obviously has had a “life changing experience”, yet many fans can’t accept that fact.
Time to accept the Iman for who he is NOW…and what he believes in…and what he stands for. Anything else smacks of personal opinion and self absorbed alternative motives.
In his own words:
” As I sit here today, I would rather it had not happened but I think what happened – my getting fired and all of that – was probably what should have happened.”
If Imus has been able to reconcile what happened to himself personally and dealt with it, why would any fan of his object? Out of personal objectives and needs? Let them object…but be wary of what they are “objecting” to and “about”. Many scream racism, many censorship, many just venting because they lost an important part of “their” personal life.
In reality, it was much more “personal” for HIM…yet it was personal for us also. He was there…in the midst of it all…we were outside observers, temporarily “losing” his voice and his show.
Personally, I think of it in the context of life changing events. He quit smoking. He quit drinking. He quit drugs. Now, he has quit a good deal more…in the way he is conducting public discussion. His show is improving, yet needs more “edge”. How “close to the edge”? That is up to Imus.
Go back and watch Don’s first show last year…especially the very beginning. He meant what he said…and has demonstrated that aspect of change. I do admire his tenacity, his determination…and his ability to morph and change. He is also bringing a great deal of revenue into WABC, that took a chance on him, when others wouldn’t. I honestly admire the man, in spite of what criticism comes his way…especially from his “fans”.
He is getting older…yet, maybe a bit wiser. That comes from up and down experiences in one’s lifetime experiences. I say, it isn’t what it was, and probably will never be…but as he spoke on Hannity…the Freak Parade continues… I do hope his health improves. Because…when he is REALLY gone, I don’t want to remember him as a “footnote”, rather, a Phoenix…rising from the ashes.
It’s all up to Imus…not any of us. That being said, inside Imus is a good soul. Let him do what he wants to do… and allow him to be the guiding force, and be remembered in the history, of his long running career as HE desires… and Not by US. 🙂

Donald, so political satire is alive & well on bway? praise allah or whomever is your spiritual savior! provided a well needed chuckle! thx!
Laree,
I second your emotion. The new “official” Imus page will be fabulous with a few tweaks. A message board would be great. Gotta have those daily repeats back. I’m too used to Imus-time on “my time.”
Frec,
Love your new Gravatar
MsM,
I hope we can get back to having fun “the satire” is a good outlet for folks. What is the old saying laughter is the best medicine.
Ree, how does one get a gravatar? Political satire, in my opinion, has always been the frontrunned in delivering the message that all people can identify with, either in favor or in opposition….that is the primarly reason, political satire has always been under attack, but never as much as today….if they can keep the message to their talking pts., they control the agenda ergo the peoples business….
Ms M,
Up top in the left hand corner you should see My Account, My Dashboard, New Post.
You want to go to My Account, when you click it on, it gives you options, one is “edit my account” click it on. On the Right side up top it should offer you to upload a Gravatar.
You can upload one from your computer if you Google “Avatars” you can look around for a graphic you would like to use. When you upload it- it offers to let you size it anyway you want to crop it. It doesn’t hurt anything to play around with the Gravatar option- that is the easiest way to learn how to use the edit profile options. When you are finished in the bottom left hand corner is – Update Profile, click this to save changes. It does take a while for the Gravatars to appear and change.
Great read by Thomas Friedman in the NYT today…

MsM & Ree….
You enjoy political satire? Caught this piece from Frank Rich’s column this morning. Originally published from the satirical web site “The Onion”….
“Black Man Given Nation’s Worst Job
November 5, 2008
WASHINGTON—African-American man Barack Obama, 47, was given the least-desirable job in the entire country Tuesday when he was elected president of the United States of America. In his new high-stress, low-reward position, Obama will be charged with such tasks as completely overhauling the nation’s broken-down economy, repairing the crumbling infrastructure, and generally having to please more than 300 million Americans and cater to their every whim on a daily basis. As part of his duties, the black man will have to spend four to eight years cleaning up the messes other people left behind. The job comes with such intense scrutiny and so certain a guarantee of failure that only one other person even bothered applying for it. Said scholar and activist Mark L. Denton, “It just goes to show you that, in this country, a black man still can’t catch a break.”

This from the London Financial Times:
“Brown orders Britain’s banks to come clean”
By George Parker, Lionel Barber and Jean Eaglesham
Published: January 17 2009 00:05 | Last updated: January 17 2009 00:05
“Gordon Brown told banks to come clean over the extent of their bad assets on Friday, admitting the scale of the banking crisis could threaten the global economy with a new phenomenon: “financial isolationism”.
With speculation growing that the government will be forced to stage another bank rescue, the prime minister told the Financial Times he had been urging the banks for almost a year to write down their bad assets. “One of the necessary elements for the next stage is for people to have a clear understanding that bad assets have been written off,” he said.”
…that was pretty much the point Thomas Friedman gave as advice to Obama in today’s column.
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/18/opinion/18friedman.html?_r=1
I had said, long ago… that until ALL these toxic assets were removed from the financial banking systems…anything else would fail. I don’t care how much money you throw at the problem…Friedman really has hit it right on the nail. Excellent read. 🙂
http://money.cnn.com/video/ft/#/video/fortune/2009/01/14/fortune.sl.tarp.011409.fortune
Here are the (probable) numbers of toxic assets (CDOs) that were spread worldwide through the financial institutions:
7 to 7.5 TRILLION.
That, is what governments across the globe, and here at home, are coming to realize.
It makes Bernie Madoff look like a simple shyster…a “small fish in a much bigger pond”.
You wonder WHY Bernie is still siting in his penthouse? The Feds don’t want cooperation from him to catch the “smaller fish”…they are after the “bigger fish”. Bigger than Bernie Madoff. 😉
Thank You Donald Inks,
Just from the title, I can tell it is funny, I will bookmark the article and read when I get back. I am off to the Mall. I try to put up blogs everyday. I am new to blogging, and don’t really know what the rule is in how many to post? I am missing Chickaboomer -Marty Davis, she should be back by the Inauguration. Talk about a prolific poster. Anyway I put up a post for Sunday reading. Then I am off to do my patriotic duty and spend, spend, spend 🙂
http://youhavetobethistalltogoonthisride.blogspot.com/2009/01/karith-foster-imus-in-morning-thats-mat.html
Ree..
As to “how many blogs to post”….
Stick to one a day… (and in special circumstances (I.E.) “alerts”) …add an update or another blog that are relevant, or a breaking “news story”.
Not speaking as a “blogger”, but as one that reads many… and it might be a good road to follow. 😉
Otherwise, they become tedious…as my comments here on this site. LOL
You are doing a good job so far. 🙂
Good Luck on your new venture!
Thanks Donald Inks,
That sounds good, I think I am so used to reading Chickaboomer, and she is prolific, I miss her commentary, she is very witty. I like event blogs, I like to know what is going on around the country, and world…maybe some Mardi Gras blogging when it comes up.
Hey, Laree…I like your gravatar too, reminds me a bit of Harley’s…hope she checks in here sometime. Tomorrow’s a school holiday.
Did anyone hear the Phil Simms interview? I am wondering if he promised to slip a catch-phrase into the AFC game, as Jim Nantz did last year (“One More Cow”). If so, it got by me! 🙂
HEY FREC! I took Tuesday off, too. Watching the Coronation in downtown Columbus. 🙂
Saw Hannity’s interview with Imus. He doesn’t look well. He’s let the Rutgers thing take him down. I wish he wouldn’t be so hard on himself! What is going on at Imus Truth??? 😦 I won’t be a stranger!
Hey Harley,
Good to see you. Imus Truth? I guess they are letting the meter run out as in the cost to keep the website up? Some of us are still chatting.
Speaking of Signs.
The Black Death is spreading through terrorist training camps DRUDGE…now on the one hand this gives the terrorist something they have to deal with on the other hand this can spread to non terrorist. The other thing that is worrisome does this mean they are playing with biological weapons? Were they trying to introduce this into civilian populations? The Plague isn’t exactly a common disease today.

Hello Harley! Glad to hear from you. Enjoy your two-day holiday. Stay warm and healthy whatever you’re doing.
I tuned in to the i-stream in time to hear Imus’ annual broadcast of “I Have a Dream.” Each time I listen, I hear something “new” and still tear-up.
I’m NOT enjoying the recent loss of imusonair.com and the daily broadcast repeats! That’s not change I can believe in.

Drudge had this posted this morning about the terrorist and Plague.
http://www.drudgereport.com/
This is an older article:
Looking around his lab, Butler noticed something was amiss. Since his return from Tanzania, he’d cultivated an ample supply of plague bacteria. He’d delivered 30 of his 210 slants to the CDC testing lab in Colorado a few months ago, leaving 180 for himself. But this morning, he could only find 150. One of the wire racks that should have been full of plague slants was missing 30 vials.

Scroll down in the article to the heading about the missing viles “30″

Last Year:
’’Tanzania has increasingly become the focus of attention for terrorists because of the country’s strong relationship with the West, particularly the United States, which culminated in (US) President George Bush making a historic visit to Tanzania in February this year,’’ said a source familiar with the reports.
In his visit to Tanzania, President Bush signed the largest US financial support to the country, targeting infectious diseases and economic development projects in the sub-Saharan single nation.

President Obama will have his hands full. This, is only one example:
” Jan. 20 (Bloomberg) — U.S. financial losses from the credit crisis may reach $3.6 trillion, suggesting the banking system is “effectively insolvent,” said New York University Professor Nouriel Roubini, who predicted last year’s economic crisis.
“I’ve found that credit losses could peak at a level of $3.6 trillion for U.S. institutions, half of them by banks and broker dealers,” Roubini said at a conference in Dubai today. “If that’s true, it means the U.S. banking system is effectively insolvent because it starts with a capital of $1.4 trillion. This is a systemic banking crisis.”
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aS0yBnMR3USk&refer=home
As I said long ago…we are, indeed, insolvent…bankrupt.
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aS0yBnMR3USk&refer=home
Damn…trapped in the “WordPress” spam filter again….(Hey, that has the makings of a good song… 😉 )
So I’ll attempt to go around it…from Bloomberg and an interview from Nouriel Roubini (excerpt) :
Losses and writedowns at financial companies worldwide have risen to more than $1 trillion since the U.S. subprime mortgage market collapsed in 2007, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
President Barack Obama will have to use as much as $1 trillion of public funds to shore up the capitalization of the banking sector, following the $350 billion injection by the Bush administration, Roubini told Bloomberg News. Congress last year approved a $700 billion rescue fund, of which half remains to be disbursed.
Bank of America Corp., the largest U.S. bank by assets, posted a quarterly loss of $1.79 billion last week, its first since 1991, and received $138 billion in emergency government funds. Citigroup Inc. posted an $8.29 billion fourth-quarter loss, completing its worst year, and plans to split in two under Chief Executive Officer Vikram Pandit’s plan to rebuild a capital base eroded by the credit crisis.
‘Bankrupt’ System
“The problems of Citi, Bank of America and others suggest the system is bankrupt,” Roubini said. “In Europe, it’s the same thing.”
Let this be REPEATED …as I had said long ago…
“The problems of Citi, Bank of America and others suggest the system is bankrupt,”
I hope and pray our new Administration and our new President can fix “our end” of this “Made In The USA” mess, and get it right….
DonaldInks,
My husband and I were talking on Skype, and he had been watching the news on his end about more bail outs. He said to me “Watch Our Bank” I am like, what do you mean watch our Bank? Stake it out 😉 Banks don’t get robbed from the outside anymore it is all done on the inside…geeze watch our bank puleeze.
Ree…
Without a SOUND “Banking System”….we are screwed. The truth is finally out (I.E. what in reality has been actually done by our banking systems buying into toxic CODs…).
They not only have ruined OUR economy…but the entire global financial institutions. We are, in effect: Bankrupt!
What frightens me, is that the rest of the world will blame us for what was done (and rightly so) …and WHAT we can do to rectify what we have wrought upon the entire financial banking systems around the world.
It is NOT…a pretty picture.
Here is what REALLY pisses me off…WHO has been enriched by this huge “ponzi scheme”…and what will be done to try and salvage what has befallen our Nation (and the rest of the world).
These bastards must be held accountable…and must pay dearly.
Ree…
Your husband was correct.
Get your money OUT of your bank and get into a credit union.
Here is an update on Banks about to fail:

Disregard the above link…leave it to our GOVERNMENT to put up outdated statistics…
Get into Federal Reserve notes , or a Credit Union.
Good luck! 🙂

Thomas Friedman succinctly expressed what NEEDS to be done.
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/18/opinion/18friedman.html?_r=1
From the above opinion post in the NYT by Freidman:
“So here’s what we’re going to do: we’re going to unclog the arteries. My banking experts have analyzed each of your balance sheets. You will tell us if we’re right. Those of you who are insolvent, we will nationalize and shut down. We will auction off your viable assets and will hold the toxic ones in a government reconstruction fund and sell them later when the market rebounds. Those of you who are weak will be merged. And those of you who are strong will receive added capital for your balance sheets, after you write down all your remaining toxic waste. I am not going to continue rewarding the losers and dimwits amongst you with handouts.”
They HAVE to nationalize the banking system, clean out ALL the toxic assets…if they do NOT… God help us all.
You have NO idea how serious this is…
Donald,
I just emailed you a cyber-valium 🙂
skiwolf,
Don’t be stingy 😉 Where’s mine.
Hey…don’t leave the Iman out of free prescription drugs…LOL!

On another note. I can’t stand Glen Beck.
He just had Brit Hume on who took him to school on how to act like a reporter with a reasonable voice. Was kind of interesting to watch.

Mel and Frec were looking for a later time to listen to Imus, I posted this on my blog – Imus Ranch Record Post.
1050 KCCA has him on live 7:00 A.M. Pacific time, the time difference is 3 hours for Eastern Time and 2 hours difference for Central Time…example 7:00 A.M. Pacific Time is 9:00 A.M. Central and 10:00 A.M. Eastern.
They also put up podcast of the weeks shows.
Here.
http://www.kcaaradio.com/friday.html
Ree,
Have you ever listened to the KCAA podcast? First it’s only two hours long. Most of it are commercials and California News.
It is a way to get a glimpse of the show, but not the full four hours.
As you do receive my 58 minute presentation it has no commercials. All the bumpers and lead outs.
Either way it does work if you want to wade through the breaks in the action.
120 minutes turns into only 68 minutes of the real Imus program.
Happened to catch the Kirsten Gillibrand’s press conference over lunch. Too funny for words.
I mean she just would not stop talking. At one point Patterson stepped in to shut her up and she just ignored him and said, “I’m going to finish”. She must have talked for almost an hour. Thanked everyone but her second grade teacher. What a dope.
To think Obama only took 18 minutes LOL!
Bruce,
I am trying to DRIVE some WEB TRAFFIC, toward the stations streaming Imus on line. Imus was ranked number 23# out of 100 2008 Streaming online. Since there is such a big time difference between the two coast -West and East. I put up two of the easiest to use radio stations websites, I could find. If I found one for Central time, I would put that up too 🙂 I get lots of searches in my livefeedjit “Stream Imus” Streaming Imus” ect…so I put up a couple of the radio stations. I also put up the Official Imus Website. People are creatures of habit, you want them to get into the habit of bookmarking, and checking into a website on a regular basis. Imus was saying today, the Website is a work in progress, it would be great if it had multiple purposes, like live stream widget, and podcast. Maybe some RFD TV clips “Multimedia” right now they have started blogging -I am linking to those post when possible. It takes 21 Days to make anything a Habit!
http://youhavetobethistalltogoonthisride.blogspot.com/2009/01/karith-foster-mat-with-1-t-animal.html
Laree,
Bruce is right about the local radio station broadcasts. Too many commercials – twice as many as the WABC or imusonair.com stream. I had tried to listen to AM broadcasts on the radio, but our locals cut right into the middle of live Imus interviews for their stinkin’ commercials.
I really do miss the imusonair.com repeats. Have they offered any explanation on their absence? All they have accomplished is freeing up three hours of my morning schedule.
Frec,
I have not heard any plan for the rebroadcast, I would check into Imus On Air myself sometimes. I would watch something on RFD TV, and see if it played the same way on Radio 🙂 I am on the computer reading lots, and lots of dry history. I like to have something to listen to while I read.
“Sid Rosenberg is scheduled to provide reports for Don Imus’ WABC radio show from the Super Bowl Tuesday through Friday of next week, Rosenberg’s agent, Mark Lepselter, said Friday”.

All MsM, posted this on Imus Truth it is too funny.
http://youhavetobethistalltogoonthisride.blogspot.com/2009/01/blagojevich-balls-adult-humor-language.html
Two Questions:
Why is Imus letting Sid back on?
If Obama can’t handle Blago, then who can he?
HQ, don’t know nothing about Sid….but want to know alot more of what BLAGO KNOWS…..O should have handled Blago a lot sooner in my opinion…..think new school overlooked old school…..
Harley,
About that Blago -Obama thing……The Freak Parade continues. This just gets more and more entertaining.
http://hotair.com/archives/2009/01/25/blago-subpoenas-include-obama-aides/
Harley,
Sid is only on for Super Bowl updates Weds thru Friday of this week. Even RFD is going on delay according to Imus.
Sid is trouble. Warner is the Sports announcer who also returns from Vacation on Wednesday.
Be great to have Sid back for a few days. Always good for a laugh. Imus remarked, “good thing we’re on a seven day delay now”. Funny.
Just listening to Bernie on the “Joe Scarborough” show on WABC. He’s doing a great job subbing. Second time I believe.
Bernie is subbing for Joe??? Is Mika on with him? What is THAT like?
Yes Mika was on. I only listened to a bit while I was in the car, but I thought it was pretty good. Bernie also did this briefly last week one day. Kind of funny because he and Mika seem like they want to jump each other.
Decent article from Newsmax on Imus:
http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/don_imus/2009/01/26/175109.html
Actually it’s an AP article I just happened to find on Newsmax.
Follow up from the AP article is this blog from kansascity.com. What is really interesting are the second and third comments; the second is from a Stern fan and the third from an Imus fan regarding the current program.
Oh Look it’s John Ridley who wanted Imus Fired, and then complained when MSNBC didn’t replace Imus with ???? someone “Diverse” There are some pretty funny comments.

Funny stuff this morning from Sid on Mad Dog. Bernie is subbing again for Scarborough.
Thanks Skiwolf,
I will tune in. Behind today still frozen here.

Here’s Mondays show.
http://www.wabcradio.com/Article.asp?id=1127969&spid=30583
I am having a real hard time listening couldn’t Mika take the day off when Joe does and have a fill in too? It is great to hear Willie Geist I have missed Willie.
Imus Truth has a new post.
http://imustruth.typepad.com/index/2009/01/a-year-into-return-don-imus-has-changed.html
It’s weird weird weird listening to Bernie, Mika and Willie together on WABC’s “Joe Show,” all lovey-dovey with one another, given the well-trod history which need not be recounted for I-Fans. Bygones, etc. I’m glad that Bernie is on his way back to “livin’ large.” It’s true, you can’t get ahead when you’re trying to get even.
The Imus Website has added Live Stream Feature.
http://www.imus.com/
Now Bigfoot just needs to add video clips highlights of the week like Ceasar Milan the Dog Whisperer.
First thing they need to do is get something that is actually funny………
We need a Fire Karith thing to happen. The snake is not funny, the dog is not funny…. nothing about Karith is funny.
She has to gooooooooo…………………………
With all due respect SkiWolf the Dog and Snake portions including her boyfriend Matt are pretty funny.
Imus is making fun of her along with everyone else on the show.
Maybe Don is giving her a nudge to leave on her own.
Since you do not receive all 4 hours I suspect you may miss some portions.
Again, this is my opinion.
Karith (and her boyfriend Mat, btw) is a good sport to go along with the jokes made at her expense. Rob’s dog whisperer bits are pretty funny. If Imus was trying to make her leave, he would ignore her.
Agree Frec,
That’s why I used the word nudge. And let’s all face facts she does have a contract I am certain.
She personally doesn’t have too many funny skits, but she does add to other skits and is the brunt of many a joke directed at her.
Whatever she earns for her 20 hours or so a week is OK by me.
Let’s make it simple. She may not be funny, but what surrounds her, Matt, Dog and Snake “IS” funny.
Enough about this subject from me. We haven’t lost our freedom of speech “YET”.
Agree, Bruce. Karith’s “role” reminds me of the one Chris Carlin (“Mr. Spain”) used to “play.” I would feel sorry for the guy, but it was often lol funny.
Had the pleasure of getting to know James Brady a bit as we became acquainted at a mutual hang out place in the City. No not Elaines. Anyhow, as fine a person as you could ever meet. We made a bit of a connection over talking about Imus. Brady was a everyday listener and fan.
RIP James Brady. One of the good guys!
Frec,
We don’t hear anything about “The Continent” these days….he is still at the WFAN right? No more Pizza For You, No More!! Now there is a candidate for a slimfast spokesperson. Carlin could be literally rolling in dough 🙂
Continent Carlin has left WFAN as of a couple of weeks ago or so. He’s now full time at SNY – Sports Net New York.
Last week, Rush Limbaugh said that he “hopes” President Obama fails to meet America’s challenges.
Watch the video and tell Rush what you think about his comments.

Thanks!
The following message was sent to you by Bruce :
Dear friend,
I wanted to make sure you saw this email…
This is B.S.
Bruce
——————————————————————————–
“I hope he fails.”
With those four words, Rush Limbaugh started a firestorm. Though our country is facing a devastating economic crisis, two ongoing wars, and myriad other challenges, the nation’s most listened-to conservative radio host stated unequivocally that he hopes the president fails to help America overcome them.
That is why it is vital we all join together and with one voice say:
Rush Limbaugh does not speak for me.
When you make a contribution to Media Matters for America, we’ll send you a “Rush Limbaugh Doesn’t Speak for Me” bumper sticker. We’ll use your contribution to fight against Rush Limbaugh and other conservative smear merchants.
Limbaugh rose to prominence in the early ’90s through a relentless series of smears leveled at President Clinton, his administration, and his family. With a new Democratic administration, Limbaugh isn’t wasting any time.
Limbaugh has blamed President Barack Obama for the economic downturn (an “Obama recession,”), claimed that Obama is waging a “war on prosperity,” and asserted that “[w]e are being told … that we have to bend over, grab the ankles … because this is the first black president.” Now, Limbaugh is outwardly hoping for Obama to fail to solve the problems facing our country.
Make a contribution to Media Matters and get your “Rush Limbaugh Doesn’t Speak for Me” bumper sticker today.
Thank you for your continued support.

I do not think I will be supporting this B.S. What about the rest of us?
I called Rush this morning. Sadly, he said he didn’t give a s…
what I thought. Oh well…… life goes on LMAO
Rush gives “good radio”, Don Imus. In that regard the guy is brilliant — no doubt.
As far as Rush goes…I have never listened to a more despicable, blowhard racist, opportunist, disingenuous, hypocritical, (running out of the more “flattering” adjectives here) pompous butt wipes…in my life.
He hopes Obama fails? He hopes the Country fails?
Well, Country FIRST.
Rush comes dead last in my book. 🙂
To those posting on Karith…kinda reminds me, in a way, of how Imus “morphed” the relationship and shtick with Janis Dean…”kinda”.
But as a footnote…not very funny. I sense “something else” in the works…and in the future. 😉
But Donald? How do you really feel? LOL!
Now Donald please think about what you just said.

He hopes Obama fails? He hopes the Country fails?Rush wasn’t fond of any Liberal Democrats. He also wasn’t too fond of John McCain.
Do you believe Obama’s Stimulus package is going to work? Doubt it. And about 58 percent of the registered voters are against it.
These are my opinions and in no way are they to denigrate or ignore yours. But after 20 years on the Radio as the Conservative voice, someone has to fight these Tax and Spend Democrats.
I rest my case.
P.S. Nothing will happen to Limbaugh at all. He has a lot of power in terrestrial radio.
skiwolf,
Rush wouldn’t take your call but did he tell you to get off his phone there is a difference 🙂
— The Illinois state legislature has ousted Gov. Rod Blagojevich after allegations of corruption.
======
Too bad. One more corrupt Illinois Politician bites the dust.
God Bless America.
Yup…Bruce, I carefully thought about what I posted (or said, in your words). Too bad Rush didn’t, and does NOT. I could care less about how many listeners he has, and how much money he makes. In my eyes, and especially to my EARS and my soul, he is a superficial punk.
That, in essence was my opinion.
It’s a shame he wasn’t riding, ranting, pontificating and exercising his great wit and wisdom on the silly bastard asses who during the last 8 years brought (and wrought) us to what we are witnessing and now experiencing.
The true tale? He hasn’t a clue to what is going on, as many others…in either party. I simply singled his ass out because he was brought up on the thread. 🙂
Like I said and to quote Imus, “Rush gives good radio”. And he does.
Great entertainer and he knows it with an impeccable voice and timing and cadence. That’s about where it ends though.
Other than that the guy is a fool.
I never really got into Rush, my mother in law listens to him faithfully, my mother in law is a Republican. I don’t know if that makes a difference the attraction? My daughter is a Republican, she really likes listening to Michael Savage , not my cup of tea. I am an Independent, I like Imus, Lou Dobbs, and Bernard McGuirk. He saves Mika when he fills in for Joe. I don’t believe that Mika could possibly have that twisted logic she must be putting some of it on.
Donald and SkiWolf,
I am no longer a trouble maker here. Have not listened to Rush since the Primaries and became a little irritated at him for disrespecting McCain and Obama.
As I said before we have not lost the ability to speak freely without the PC police attacking us. Our First Amendment rights have not been taken away from us YET.
It was not personal.
Imus shout out!

Good old Sid. He’ll do anything to try and get noticed and to get back to NY. Hope he does.

I have enjoyed Sid being back, he should be calling in more often, NO better idea he should come to NYC, and visit them in the studio.
Neil Best covering Sid & Imus in the Morning.
http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/watchdog/blog/2009/01/sid_rosenberg_bac_on_imus_show.html
I have tried to leave a comment on Neil’s threads they just don’t come up a spam filter or something?
Funny thing Ree my comment made it. Here it is to Neil Best.
Posted by Bruce | January 30, 2009 22:23 Sid was fine on Imus. What he didn’t do was report much on the Super Bowl festivities at all.
His last day on focused on the Canceled Lingerie Bowl. And though Neil you sad Sid had nothing to do with NHH incident April 4, 2007, he didn’t help much either.
He never reappeared on the replacements again. And frankl Farid Suleman would never have him on as a regular on WABC. IMHO. Sid’s OK. But that’s it.
And his radio station not giving him at least a cell phone is ridiculous. Though that was funny to talk about.
Thanks Neil you’re the Best.
“Shut up and play” ~ Lou Ruffino

I am not into the new Springsteen music. Imus has been playing it but all I hear is Bruce moaning about something 🙂
This looks to be calculated marketing trick to drum up sales, he is playing an angle..well hard times have hit the Boss I guess. That disposable income pretty much not around to pay for his CD at high retail outlet. More exposure Walmart is everywhere. He probably needed to market to the Walmart demographic. The Walmart demographic, what I am I typing? That’s pretty much everyone now 🙂 Still it seems someone in the music business this long knows better in fact “we didn’t vet it well enough” I would bet he discusses the business end at length especially in this economy. Why apologize who is offended he made this deal with Walmart?
WalMart places luxury items within the reach of lower to middle income consumers. I cheered Springstein for marketing his music to the people. Now he is pandering to unions, insulting every single one of his fans who shop at the superstore.
X-Disclosure ~ As a Jersey Shore kid would beat feet to the Stone Pony on Thursday nights to catch the last set. Reason? Bruce would often show up and jump on stage with locals such as Southside Johnny. Of course Bruce was just a local then…
ChannelXRFR,
I remember his old stuff, my best friend would describe this as his grimy period before he was cleaned up for broader commercial appeal 🙂 One of my favorite Bruce Springsteen songs is from his commercial period. Brilliant Disguise
I remember Spirit in the Night.
http://www.springsteenlyrics.com/lyrics/s/spiritinthenight.php
I have one trapped in the spam filter.
Bruce Springsteen Spirits in the Night.
Channel,
I heard about the Stone Pony. But not sure if I ever was there back when I lived in N.J.
Springsteen was O.K. at the Super Bowl. Have a problem with those fireworks though. Not sure if they were super-imposed. They were just too perfect.
3 old songs plus one new one from his New Album.
Pittsburgh won 27-23 in a very exciting game. I was for Kurt Warner and the Cardinals.
Imus was critical of Bruce playing up the 12 minutes he got to play.
POV, Classic Bruce creating an urgent situation as he ran through his onstage repertoire, hanging with Clarence, high fiveing the audience, sliding on the stage, wind milling the guitar, rapping with Stevie.
The ref flagging Bruce at the end had us all howling, classic Bruce. Hands down the best Super Bowl halftime ever! Forget about Disney, U2, Sting, Rolling Stones, Black Eye Peas,
Imus obviously never went to a Bruce Show…
Agree about best ever. But, Imus also said it was as well although he did fixate on the 12 minute thing. I thought it was kind of funny. Incredible performance —- great fun.

Imus was so busy trashing Lauer today he missed this opportunity with Obama.
When will comedians start telling Obama jokes? When they start to listen to what the BAMA really sez!

laree,
I left a comment on your blog. Thank you.
Love Imus defending Bill O’Reilly while at the same time making fun of him and calling him a “titty baby”.
Imus: “O’Reilly will rub a sandwich on anyone naked in the shower regardless of race, creed or color.” LMAO don’t think O’Reilly will be on anytime soon.

uh oh…the boss might want to try and explain this one to his fans, and stop worrying about a big box store.

Well this is for everyone who thought Maureen Dowd was too tough on “W”.
This is laugh out loud funny and right on the mark IMO. Dowd at her best.
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/04/opinion/04dowd.html?_r=1
Dowd finally woke up and realized without the Bushies she needs to find someone else to trash. Fortunately Team Obama does not disappoint. Two weeks into it and its looking like the Barrack Amateur Hour!
Amateur Move – What’s up with Barrack making the CEO pay announcement today, couldn’t the tax cheat Geithner or the pasty flack Gibbs handle that little piece of dirty work?
Wait till CEO’s and other high earners start leaving these “troubled” financial companies taking marquee clients across the street to “healthy” financial companies. Or better yet when the high earners take their clients and start their own businesses. What kind of announcement will Obama have then?
A little edgier! The return of the CARDINAL!!!!
Mtnherbal,
I was wondering if I heard that right? So the Cardinal is returning Alrighty Then.
He said it twice; however, it was almost tongue in cheek. Tune in tomorrow. It may be a black cardinal!
Bernie was more engaged this morning then he has been since the return. Watching on RFD he appeared to be having a lot more fun, not looking over his shoulder.
Maybe this new program director will make a difference….
New Post Cardinal Returns
Nothing but a racist uneducated bastard that’s knows nothing about black people and constantly speaks very disrespectful towards them and what the fuck Don Imus know about black people try nothing! Stereotypical asshole I hope the cancer eat your fucking heart out. You pompous idiot that thinks that their race is above all. I’m so sorry for you children. A man like you don’t deserve to make children that would grow up to be racist such as your self. Money can’t buy you everything. So take you million dollar fucked up racist attitude to hell!
