I’m tired of hearing about how smart they all are,
Best and the brightest are the dumbest bastards in the room!

Dying thats how I’m doing,
Going out to San Francisco to have someone examine my prostate,
How do you think I’m doing? I’m not doing well!

I-Fav, To Fast Until End of Nation’s Economic Crisis

dick-gregory-imagine-peace

Dick Gregory, 76, world famous activist, author, lecturer and comedian, appeared on the radio and television shows of Don Imus … this morning and made an historic announcement in connection with what he called “the inexcusable crisis of humanity in connection with the tragic state of the this country’s economy as a result of the past eight years of greed, arrogance and fear-mongering,” Gregory said.  Press Release Click|Here

During today’s program Dick Gregory mentioned how terrible Government  Cheese is.   Wondering what Govt Cheese tastes like?  Imagine an artificial substitute for Velveeta Cheese, that’s Govt Cheese.  Of course preparing a grill cheese sandwich increases the edibility of the product, as long as you have a little Govt Oleo and bread.   No bread no problem, just spread some mustard on a slice of that cheese product and enjoy!

Back when my little bros and I would dine on Govt Cheese there was no Internet  so we did not have access to all the wonderful ideas for preparing G-Cheese.  Amazingly Kraft alone has 136 recipes in their Velveeta Featured Recipes!!!

From The Desk Of  X

Mr. Gregory,  while fasting maybe you could pen a letter to the President Obama and ask him to revise the mark to market rule, crack down on credit swaps as well as other forms of derivatives, end naked shorts and stop Fannie and Freddie from handing out mortgages to people who can’t afford them.  That would make this Govt Cheese eater feel better anyway.  McCord: Did Colonel Jack Loose His Shirt In The Market?

Colonel Jack Jacobs without a doubt, is the best prepared, most knowledgeable, articulate, understandable power rotation guest who appears on Imus In The Morning.  In this appearance the Colonel breaks down the polls, the presidential campaigns, the economy and impact of raising taxes on ordinary people.

ChanX CliffsNotes

Imus:  This election is over, isn’t it?

Colonel Jacobs:  Its going to close and be much closer then people think.   Don’t believe the polls. They are national polls and that’s not how we elect the president.  The other problem with the polls is they are a function of who you ask and what they are asked.  Believes Palin is the margin of victory.  Picking someone nobody knows with 6 weeks to go, was a bad decision. Back on Imus, McCain sticks up for Palin spears critics

By: Jonathan Martin, POLITICO

It was just like old times this morning, as John McCain called into Don Imus’s show to mix it up.

Imus didn’t press McCain like he has at times in the past, but the crusty talk show host did manage to elicit the feisty and sarcastic side of the GOP nominee. Read|More

McCain, Imus, Wright

By: Ben Smith, POLITICO

McCain had a long, process-oriented interview with Don Imus this morning, worth a listen, including Imus’s gripe about Obama’s relative treatment of his own nearly career-ending, racially charged joke and of Jeremiah Wright. Read|More

McCain Returns To I-Fold!

Well here we go boys and girls!

It’s official, after 324 days John McCain returns to Imus In The Morning, tomorrow 10/22 around 7:30 EDT!   With the exception of 1 or 2 drop-in calls since the I-Man’s return, I-Fav J-MAC has been conspicuously absent from the program.  The anticipation has been building within the I-Nation.  Preceded by  weeks of speculation; as to when or even will  J-MAC come on the show, and endless searching for an answer as to why he has not appeared on the program.   Guess what,? It’s now crunch time and Senator McCain is ready to reignite his true base, the I-Nation.

Imus’ question this morning ~  “What should I ask McCain?”

Now it’s your turn…

What should Imus ask Senator McCain?

If Not Now, When?: Duty and Sacrifice in America’s Time of Need

by Jack Jacobs, Douglas Century

A Medal of Honor recipient looks back at his own service—and ahead to America’s future.Jack Jacobs was acting as an advisor to the South Vietnamese when he and his men came under devastating attack. Severely wounded, 1st Lt. Jacobs took command and withdrew the unit, returning again and again to the site of the attack to rescue more men, saving the lives of a U.S. advisor and thirteen Allied soldiers. Col. Jacobs received the nation’s highest military award, the Medal of Honor.

Here, with candor, humor, and quiet modesty, Col. Jack Jacobs tells his stirring story of heroism, honor, and the personal code by which he has lived his life, and expounds with blunt honesty and insight his views on our contemporary world, and the nature and necessity of sacrifice.

If Not Now, When? is a compelling account of a unique life at both war and peace, and the all-too-often unexamined role of the citizenry in the service and defense of the Republic.

About the Author

Jack Jacobs retired from the military as a full colonel in 1987. Today, he is widely regarded as one of the world’s most perceptive—and outspoken—military analysts.

Douglas Century is a New York Times bestselling author.
